“‘ If your brother becomes impoverished and sells some of his property, his near redeemer is to come to you and redeem what his brother sold.

浸假宗族貧乏、鬻其田疇、親戚贖之亦可。

若爾同族人、同族人原文作兄弟下同因貧乏而鬻其業、有本族人來代贖、則任其贖本族人所鬻者、

“‘ If one of your fellow Israelites becomes poor and sells some of their property, their nearest relative is to come and redeem what they have sold.

“‘ Suppose one of your own people becomes poor. And suppose they have to sell some of their land. Then their nearest relative must come and buy back what they have sold.

“ If your brother becomes poor and sells part of his property, then his nearest redeemer shall come and redeem what his brother has sold.

If one of your fellow Israelites falls into poverty and is forced to sell some family land, then a close relative should buy it back for him.

If your brother becomes destitute and sells part of his property, his nearest relative may come and redeem what his brother has sold.

‘ If a fellow countryman of yours becomes so poor that he sells part of his property, then his closest redeemer is to come and buy back what his relative has sold.

‘ If one of your brethren becomes poor, and has sold some of his possession, and if his redeeming relative comes to redeem it, then he may redeem what his brother sold.

If thy brother be waxed poor, and sell some of his possession, then shall his kinsman that is next unto him come, and shall redeem that which his brother hath sold.

If your brother becomes destitute and sells part of his property, his nearest relative may come and redeem what his brother has sold.

Naomi said to her daughter-in-law,“ May he be rewarded by the LORD because he has shown loyalty to the living on behalf of the dead!” Then Naomi said to her,“ This man is a close relative of ours; he is our guardian.”

‘ Hanamel, the son of your uncle Shallum, will come to you soon. He will say to you,“ Buy my field at Anathoth because you are entitled as my closest relative to buy it.”’Now it happened just as the LORD had said! My cousin Hanamel came to me in the courtyard of the guardhouse. He said to me,‘ Buy my field which is at Anathoth in the territory of the tribe of Benjamin. Buy it for yourself since you are entitled as my closest relative to take possession of it for yourself.’ When this happened, I recognized that the LORD had indeed spoken to me.

Now yes, it is true that I am a guardian, but there is another guardian who is a closer relative than I am.

He said,“ Who are you?” She replied,“ I am Ruth, your servant. Marry your servant, for you are a guardian of the family interests.”

So I am legally informing you: Acquire it before those sitting here and before the leaders of my people! If you want to exercise your right to redeem it, then do so. But if not, then tell me so I will know. For you possess the first option to redeem it; I am next in line after you.” He replied,“ I will redeem it.”Then Boaz said,“ When you acquire the field from Naomi, you must also acquire Ruth the Moabite, the wife of our deceased relative, in order to preserve his family name by raising up a descendant who will inherit his property.”The guardian said,“ Then I am unable to redeem it, for I would ruin my own inheritance in that case. You may exercise my redemption option, for I am unable to redeem it.”

Now Boaz, with whose female servants you worked, is our close relative. Look, tonight he is winnowing barley at the threshing floor.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was rich, he became poor for your sakes, so that you by his poverty could become rich.

They were singing a new song:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were killed, and at the cost of your own blood you have purchased for God persons from every tribe, language, people, and nation.

Again he says,“ I will be confident in him,” and again,“ Here I am, with the children God has given me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death( that is, the devil),
