You may ask,“ What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?”

But you might ask,‘ What will we eat during the seventh year, since we are not allowed to plant or harvest crops that year?’

Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him,“ This is hopeless, my master! What are we to do?”And he said,“ Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are greater than those who are with them.”Then Elisha prayed and said,“ Lord, please, open his eyes so that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

“ For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?And which of you by worrying can add a single day to his life’s span?And why are you worried about clothing? Notice how the lilies of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin thread for cloth,yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!Do not worry then, saying,‘ What are we to eat?’ or‘ What are we to drink?’ or‘ What are we to wear for clothing?’For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.“ So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Now the rabble who were among them had greedy cravings; and the sons of Israel also wept again and said,“ Who will give us meat to eat?

Where am I to get meat to give to all this people? For they weep before me, saying,‘ Give us meat so that we may eat!’

Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said,“ I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”so that we confidently say,“ The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”

The royal officer on whose hand the king was leaning responded to the man of God and said,“ Even if the Lord were to make windows in heaven, could this thing happen?” Then he said,“ Behold, you are going to see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat any of it.”
