You may ask,“ What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?”

Suppose you say,“ In the seventh year we will not plant anything or gather our crops. So what will we eat?”

And if you say,‘ What shall we eat in the seventh year, if we may not sow or gather in our crop?’

But you might ask,‘ What will we eat during the seventh year, since we are not allowed to plant or harvest crops that year?’

But if you say,“ What are we going to eat in the seventh year if we do not sow nor gather in our produce?”

‘ And if you say,“ What shall we eat in the seventh year, since we shall not sow nor gather in our produce?”

And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;

If you wonder:‘ What will we eat in the seventh year if we don’t sow or gather our produce?’

And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:

If you say,‘ What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not sow and gather our produce?’

If you said,“ What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;”

Don’t strive for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious.

But there will be a Sabbath of complete rest for the land in the seventh year, a Sabbath to the LORD: you are not to sow your field or prune your vineyard.

They spoke against God, saying,“ Is God able to provide food in the wilderness?Look! He struck the rock and water gushed out; torrents overflowed. But can he also provide bread or furnish meat for his people?”

Listen, heavens, and pay attention, earth, for the LORD has spoken:“ I have raised children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me.

Then Amaziah said to the man of God,“ What should I do about the 7,500 pounds of silver I gave to Israel’s division?” The man of God replied,“ The LORD is able to give you much more than this.”

He said to them,“ Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

When the servant of the man of God got up early and went out, he discovered an army with horses and chariots surrounding the city. So he asked Elisha,“ Oh, my master, what are we to do?”Elisha said,“ Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them.”Then Elisha prayed,“ LORD, please open his eyes and let him see.” So the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw that the mountain was covered with horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

“ Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?And why do you worry about clothes? Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don’t labor or spin thread.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these.If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you— you of little faith?So don’t worry, saying,‘ What will we eat?’ or‘ What will we drink?’ or‘ What will we wear?’For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The riffraff among them had a strong craving for other food. The Israelites wept again and said,“ Who will feed us meat?

Where can I get meat to give all these people? For they are weeping to me,‘ Give us meat to eat!’

Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Then the captain, the king’s right-hand man, responded to the man of God,“ Look, even if the LORD were to make windows in heaven, could this really happen?” Elisha announced,“ You will in fact see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it.”
