The Lord spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai. He said,

Yahweh said to Moses in Mount Sinai,

These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar.Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.

The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said:

On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle of the covenant law.Then the Israelites set out from the Desert of Sinai and traveled from place to place until the cloud came to rest in the Desert of Paran.

On the first day of the third month after the Israelites left Egypt— on that very day— they came to the Desert of Sinai.
