即今遣爾就之者、俾啟其目、使之離暗就光、脫撒但之權、而歸上帝、致得罪赦、同獲因信成聖之業、

宜命以色列民、取橄欖擣清油、使燈常燃、會幕中、法匱前之㡘外、亞倫與其子、自夕達旦、理燈於耶和華前、此為以色列族歷世之永例、

南向置燈臺、與幾相對、

蓋爾素為暗、今宗主而為光、當如光明之人而行、夫光明之實、乃在諸善、與義與誠也、宜審主之所悅、毋與無實之暗行、寧責之、蓋彼之隱行、言之辱矣、凡事之受責者、以光而顯、蓋凡顯者光也、故曰、寐者宜寤、自死而起、基督將照爾矣、○

蓋其誡為燈、其教為光、訓誨之譴責、為生命之路、

俾爾純粹無疵為上帝子、無瑕於邪逆之世、顯為燭世之光、彰明維生之道、俾我可誇於基督之日、以所趨所勞、非徒然也、

照夫居於幽暗及死蔭者、導我履平康之路、○

精金之燈臺、陳列之盞、及其諸器、燃燈之油、

宜循法律與證詞、若不依此而言、則不見晨光、

是有真光、普照凡入世之人、

蓋命光由暗而照之上帝、已照我心、俾知上帝榮之光、即顯於耶穌基督之面者也、○

俾我主耶穌基督之上帝、有榮之父、賜爾明智與啟示之靈、以識上帝、心目克明、俾知爾蒙其召所望何如、彼於諸聖徒之業、其榮之豐富何如、

耶穌復語眾曰、我乃世之光、從我者、不行於暗、必有維生之光、

天國可比處女十人、執燈出迎新娶者、其中五智五愚、愚者執燈而未備油、智者執燈、備油於器、新娶者稽遲、皆假寐而寢、中夜有呼曰、新娶者至矣、爾出迎之、眾處女遂起、重整其燈、愚者謂智者曰、以爾油分我、我燈垂熄、

上帝之燈未滅、撒母耳臥於耶和華殿、上帝法匱之所、耶和華呼撒母耳、對曰、我在此、

爾言為我足前之燈、途間之光兮、

爾腰宜束、燈宜燃、

每朝夕獻燔祭芳品、奉於耶和華、列陳設餅於精金之几、有金燈臺與盞、每夕燃之、蓋我儕守我上帝耶和華之命、惟爾曹棄之、

告亞倫云、燃燈之時、宜使七盞明耀於臺前、亞倫遵耶和華所諭摩西之命而行、燃燈明耀於臺前、燈臺以金為之、自座及花、悉用鏇法而造、遵耶和華所示摩西之式、○

爾言既闡、光輝斯著、使庸人明哲兮、

如是、爾之光亦當照乎人前、俾人見爾善行、榮爾在天之父焉、○

生在其中、生者人之光也、

其處暗之民、已見大光、處死地陰翳者、有光昇及之、

耶和華之神必臨之、即智慧明哲之神、謀畧才能之神、知識與寅畏耶和華之神也、

彼乃燈、燃且明也、爾暫喜其光、
