You shall dwell in temporary shelters for seven days. All who are native- born in Israel shall dwell in temporary shelters,

Live in temporary shelters for seven days: All native- born Israelites are to live in such shelters

Live in booths for seven days. All the Israelites must live in booths.

You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All native Israelites shall dwell in booths,

For seven days you must live outside in little shelters. All native born Israelites must live in shelters.

You are to live in shelters for seven days. All the native-born of Israel must live in shelters,

They found written in the law how Yahweh had commanded by Moses that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month;and that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying,“ Go out to the mountain, and get olive branches, branches of wild olive, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make temporary shelters, as it is written.”So the people went out, and brought them, and made themselves temporary shelters, everyone on the roof of his house, in their courts, in the courts of God’s house, in the wide place of the water gate, and in the wide place of Ephraim’s gate.All the assembly of those who had come back out of the captivity made temporary shelters, and lived in the temporary shelters; for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun to that day the children of Israel had not done so. There was very great gladness.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.

but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.

How goodly are your tents, Jacob, and your dwellings, Israel!

Jacob traveled to Succoth, built himself a house, and made shelters for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.
