You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths,

Live in temporary shelters for seven days: All native- born Israelites are to live in such shelters

Live in booths for seven days. All the Israelites must live in booths.

You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All native Israelites shall dwell in booths,

For seven days you must live outside in little shelters. All native born Israelites must live in shelters.

You are to live in shelters for seven days. All the native-born of Israel must live in shelters,

And they found written in the Law, which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month,and that they should announce and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying,“ Go out to the mountain, and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written.”Then the people went out and brought them and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house, or in their courtyards or the courts of the house of God, and in the open square of the Water Gate and in the open square of the Gate of Ephraim.So the whole assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and sat under the booths; for since the days of Joshua the son of Nun until that day the children of Israel had not done so. And there was very great gladness.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland.And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return.But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

And Balaam raised his eyes, and saw Israel encamped according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.

But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.

“ How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel!

And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, built himself a house, and made booths for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
