On the first day you are to take branches from luxuriant trees— from palms, willows and other leafy trees— and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.

On the first day you must get branches from palms, willows and other leafy trees. You must be filled with joy in front of the Lord your God for seven days.

And you shall take on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

On the first day gather branches from magnificent trees— palm fronds, boughs from leafy trees, and willows that grow by the streams. Then celebrate with joy before the Lord your God for seven days.

On the first day you are to take the product of majestic trees— palm fronds, boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook— and rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days.

在節期中，你和你的兒女、僕婢，以及住在你城裏的利未人、寄居的和孤兒寡婦，都要歡樂。在耶和華所選擇的地方，你要向耶和華－你的上帝守節七日，因為耶和華－你的上帝要在你一切的收成上和你手裏所做的一切賜福給你，你就非常歡樂。

你們要靠主常常喜樂。我再說，你們要喜樂。

他們發現律法書上寫着，耶和華藉摩西吩咐以色列人要在七月的節期中住在棚裏，並要在各城和耶路撒冷傳揚宣告說：「你們當出去，上山，把橄欖樹、野橄欖樹、番石榴樹、棕樹和各樣茂密樹的枝子取來，照着所寫的搭棚。」於是百姓出去，取了樹枝來，各人在自己的房頂上、院子裏、上帝殿的院內、水門的廣場和以法蓮門的廣場搭棚。從被擄之地歸回的全會眾就搭棚，住在棚裏。從嫩的兒子約書亞的時候直到這日，以色列人沒有這樣行。他們都大大喜樂。

就拿着棕樹枝出去迎接他，喊着：「和散那，以色列的王！奉主名來的是應當稱頌的！」

你們現在也是憂愁，但我要再見到你們，你們的心就會有喜樂了；這喜樂沒有人能奪去。

耶和華救贖的民必歸回，歌唱來到錫安；永遠的快樂必歸到他們頭上，他們必得着歡喜快樂，憂傷嘆息盡都逃避。

雖然你們沒有見過他，卻是愛他；如今雖看不見，你們卻因信他而有說不出來、滿有榮光的喜樂，

「你們所有愛慕耶路撒冷的啊，要與她一同歡喜，為她高興；你們所有為她悲哀的啊，都要與她一同樂上加樂；

此後，我觀看，看見有許多人，沒有人能計算，是從各邦國、各支派、各民族、各語言來的，站在寶座和羔羊面前，身穿白衣，手拿棕樹枝，

不但如此，我們既藉着我們的主耶穌基督得以與上帝和好，也就藉着他以上帝為樂。

因為真受割禮的，就是我們這藉着上帝的靈敬拜、以基督耶穌為誇耀、不依靠肉體的。

許許多多的人把自己的衣服鋪在路上，還有人砍下樹枝來鋪在路上。

義人要興旺如棕樹，生長如黎巴嫩的香柏樹。
