約西亞從羣畜中賜給所有在場的百姓，三萬隻小綿羊和小山羊，三千頭牛，作逾越節的祭物；這些都是出自王的產業。約西亞的眾領袖也樂意把祭牲給百姓、祭司和利未人；管理上帝殿的希勒家、撒迦利亞、耶歇，把二千六百隻羔羊和三百頭牛給祭司作逾越節的祭物。

你們各人都當孝敬父母，也要守我的安息日。我是耶和華－你們的上帝。

有些族長到了耶路撒冷耶和華的殿，為上帝的殿甘心獻上禮物，要在原有的根基上重新建造。他們量力捐入工程的庫房，有六萬一千達利克金子，五千彌那銀子，以及一百件祭司的禮服。

此外，因我愛慕我上帝的殿，在預備建造聖殿的一切材料之外，又將我自己積蓄的金銀獻給我上帝的殿，就是三千他連得俄斐金子、七千他連得純銀，用來貼殿的牆；金子做金器，銀子做銀器，並藉工匠的手做一切的工。今日有誰願意將自己獻給耶和華呢？」於是，眾族長和以色列各支派的領袖、千夫長、百夫長，以及監管王工作的官長，都樂意奉獻。他們為上帝殿的工程獻上五千他連得又一萬達利克金子，一萬他連得銀子，一萬八千他連得銅，十萬他連得鐵。凡有寶石的都送入耶和華殿的庫房，由革順人耶歇的手管理。

到第七日，上帝已經完成了造物之工，就在第七日安息了，歇了他所做一切的工。上帝賜福給第七日，將它分別為聖，因為在這日，上帝安息了，歇了他所做一切創造的工。
