『以上這些祭都要在你們的制定節期上獻與永恆主，都要在所許的願、和自願獻的祭以外、作為你們的燔祭、素祭、奠祭、和平安祭。』

要將你們的燔祭、和別的祭物、你們的十分之一獻物、和手奉的提獻物、你們的還願祭、和自願獻的祭、以及牛羣羊羣中頭胎的、都帶到那裏；

工要六日之間作；但第七日是完全歇工的安息日、有聖聚會；甚麼工都不可作：在你們一切的住所、這是歸永恆主的安息日。

『要記得安息日，分別為聖。六日要勞碌，作你一切的工。但第七日是屬永恆主你的上帝的安息日；這一日、你跟你兒子和女兒、你奴僕和使女、你的牲口、以及你城內的寄居者，一切的工都不可作。因為六日之內、永恆主造天、地、海、和其中的萬物，第七日便歇息；所以永恆主賜福與安息之日，分別為聖。

於是約西亞提獻了羊羣中的綿羊羔和山羊羔給所有在場的眾人做逾越節的祭牲：總數共有三萬隻；還有公牛三千隻：都是從王的活財物中取的。約西亞的大臣也自願將祭牲提獻給人民、給祭司和利未人；又有上帝之殿的總務希勒家、撒迦利亞、耶歇、也將羊羔二千六百隻、公牛三百隻、給了祭司做逾越節的祭牲。

你們各人都要孝敬自己的母親自己的父親；我的安息日你們務要守：我永恆主是你們的上帝。

有些父系的族長到了耶路撒冷永恆主之殿的地址，便為上帝之殿自願獻禮物，要把殿在原址上重立起來。他們按力量捐獻在工程庫裏；有金子六萬一千達利克，銀子五千彌拿，祭司禮褂一百件。

不但如此，因我愛慕我的上帝的殿，我就在為聖殿作一切供備之外，又將我自己珍藏的金銀拿出來、作建造我的上帝之殿的用處：就是俄斐金三千擔、精鍊的銀子七千擔、可貼殿裏各房屋的牆；金子可作金器，銀子可作銀器，和由匠人的手可作的一切巧工。今日有誰甘心自願拱手奉獻與永恆主呢？』於是眾父系族長、以色列眾族派的首領、千夫長、百夫長、和監管王工的主任、全都甘心自願地奉獻。為了要作上帝之殿的使用、他們就拿出金子五千擔零一萬達利克，銀子一萬擔，銅一萬八千擔，鐵十萬擔。凡有寶石在身邊的都交入永恆主之殿的府庫，由革順人耶歇經手保管。

第七日上帝完畢了他所作的工，就在第七日歇了他所作的一切工而休息。上帝賜福與第七日，分別為聖，因為在這一日、上帝歇了他在創造中所作的一切工而休息。
