把你們的燔祭和其他的祭物、十分之一的禮物和手中的貢獻、還願祭和甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中頭生的，都要帶到那裡去；

“六日要工作，但第七日是完全休歇的安息日，應當有聖會；甚麼工你們都不可作；在你們的一切住處，這日是歸耶和華的安息日。

“要記念安息日，守為聖日。六日要勞碌，作你一切工作。但第七日是耶和華你的神的安息日；這一日，你和你的兒女，你的僕婢和牲畜，以及住在你城裡的寄居者，不可作任何的工。因為耶和華在六日之內造天、地、海和其中的萬物，第七日就歇息了；所以耶和華賜福安息日，定為聖日。

於是約西亞送出綿羊羔和山羊羔共三萬隻，還有公牛三千頭，給所有在場的人民作逾越節的祭牲；這些都是取自王的財產。約西亞手下的眾領袖也自願把祭牲送給人民、祭司和利未人；又有神殿的總管希勒家、撒迦利亞和耶歇，也把羔羊二千六百隻和公牛三百頭，送給祭司作逾越節的祭牲。

各人要孝敬父母，也要謹守我的安息日；我是耶和華你們的神。

當一些族長到達耶路撒冷耶和華殿的原址的時候，就為神的殿甘心獻上禮物，要把殿在原址重建起來。他們按照自己的力量奉到工程庫裡的，有金子五百公斤和銀子兩千八百公斤，以及祭司的禮服一百件。

不但這樣，因我愛慕我神的殿，就在我為建造聖殿預備的一切以外，又把我自己積蓄的金銀獻給我神的殿：就是俄斐金一百多公噸，精煉的銀子約兩百四十公噸，用來貼殿裡的牆壁；金子做金器，銀子做銀器，以及匠人手所作的各樣巧工。今日有誰願意奉獻給耶和華呢？”於是各家族的領袖、以色列各支派的領袖、千夫長、百夫長和管理王的事務的領袖，都樂意奉獻。為了神殿裡的需用，他們奉獻了金子一百七十多公噸，銀子三百四十多公噸，銅約六百二十公噸和鐵三千四百公噸。有寶石的，都交到耶和華殿這庫房，由革順人耶歇經辦。

第七日，神完成了他所作的工；在第七日神歇了他所作的一切工。神賜福第七日，把它分別為聖，因為在這一日，神停了他一切所創造的工，歇息了。
