It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict yourselves. On the ninth day of the month beginning at evening, from evening to evening shall you keep your Sabbath.”

This will be a Sabbath day of complete rest for you, and on that day you must deny yourselves. This day of rest will begin at sundown on the ninth day of the month and extend until sundown on the tenth day.”

凡勞苦負重者、當就我、我將賜爾以安、我心溫良謙遜、爾負我軛而學我、則爾心必獲安、蓋我軛易、我負輕也、

是日必守為大安息日、當刻苦齋戒、定為永例、

彼眾患病、我則穿麻衣、禁食刻苦、俯首向懷、切切禱告、

七月十日為贖罪日、當有聖會、刻苦齋戒、亦當獻火祭於主、

賜華冠於郇邑悲哀之民、以代灰塵、賜喜樂之膏、以代悲哀、賜華服、以代煩惱、俾得稱為蒙福者、蒙福者或作有義者發旺若橡樹、被主栽培、彰顯主之榮、

我哀哭禁食、反因此受毀謗、我衣麻衣、彼眾以我為笑談、

主所欲之祭、在乎憂傷痛悔、憂傷痛悔之心、主必不輕視、

我儕若自審、則不被審、

流淚播種者、必歡躍收成、攜穀種以播者、哭泣而往、迨負禾束而歸、必然歡欣、

彼曰、我儕禁食而主不視、反躬克己而主不顧、是何故歟、曰、爾曹禁食、仍求利己、且勒逼人為爾作工、爾曹禁食、依然相爭相競、逞兇揮拳毆擊、爾今如此禁食、爾呼籲之聲、必不升聞於上、爾呼籲之聲必不升聞於上或作並非欲爾呼籲之聲升聞於上人自刻苦、垂頭如葦、以麻布塵埃為床、如是禁食之日、豈我所悅乎、爾豈可稱為禁食乎、可視為主所悅之日乎、釋兇暴之繩、解欺壓之索、釋受虐者、折一切壓人之軛、如是之禁食、始為我所悅、分餅於饑者、納流離之貧民於己家、見裸者則衣之、勿掩面不顧爾之骨肉、

故我儕當奮勉以得此安息、恐有人效彼眾、而陷於違背違背或作不信之罪、

惟我儕已信者、得享安息、如主云、我怒而誓、必不許其享我之安息、其實造物之工、自創世以來皆已竣矣、

至高至上永生、名為聖主者如是云、我雖居至高聖所、亦與痛悔者虛心者偕居、使謙卑者心蘇、使痛悔者心蘇、

今我見其道我將醫之、導之以行、加以慰藉、慰藉其憂傷之人、我必使其口讚頌我、我賜平康、賜平康於遠者近者、且我將醫之、此乃主所言、

哀慟者福矣、因其將受慰也、
