Leviticus 19:9-10
‘ Now when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. And you shall not glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 24:19-21
“ When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you are not to go back to get it; it shall belong to the stranger, the orphan, and to the widow, in order that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. When you beat the olives off your olive tree, you are not to search through the branches again; that shall be left for the stranger, the orphan, and for the widow.“ When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you are not to go over it again; that shall be left for the stranger, the orphan, and the widow.

Ruth 2:15-23
When she got up to glean, Boaz commanded his servants, saying,“ Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not insult her. Also you are to purposely slip out for her some grain from the bundles and leave it so that she may glean, and do not rebuke her.”So she gleaned in the field until evening. Then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley. And she picked it up and went into the city, and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned. She also took some out and gave Naomi what she had left after she was satisfied. Her mother in law then said to her,“ Where did you glean today and where did you work? May he who took notice of you be blessed.” So she told her mother in law with whom she had worked, and said,“ The name of the man with whom I worked today is Boaz.”Naomi said to her daughter in law,“ May he be blessed of the Lord who has not withdrawn His kindness from the living and from the dead.” Again Naomi said to her,“ The man is our relative; he is one of our redeemers.”Then Ruth the Moabitess said,“ Furthermore, he said to me,‘ You are to stay close to my servants until they have finished all my harvest.’ ”And Naomi said to her daughter in law Ruth,“ It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, so that others do not assault you in another field.”So she stayed close by the young women of Boaz in order to glean until the end of the barley harvest and the wheat harvest. And she lived with her mother in law.

2 Corinthians 9 5-2 Corinthians 9 12
So I considered it necessary to urge the brothers that they go on ahead to you and arrange in advance your previously promised generous gift, that the same would be ready as a generous gift, and not as one grudgingly given due to greediness. Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously. Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;as it is written:“ He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.”Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.

Isaiah 58:7-8
Is it not to break your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will spring up quickly; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

Job 31:16-21
“ If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,Or have eaten my morsel alone, And the orphan has not shared it( But from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, And from my infancy I guided her),If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, Or that the needy had no covering,If his waist has not thanked me, And if he has not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep,If I have lifted up my hand against the orphan, Because I saw I had support in the gate,
