You must bring a male animal without any flaws if you want the Lord to accept it from you. It does not matter whether it is from your cattle, sheep or goats.

if it is to be accepted for you it shall be a male without blemish, of the bulls or the sheep or the goats.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message:“ Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.”

When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd.“ I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said.“ It is your responsibility!”

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
