They must not take a wife defiled by prostitution, nor are they to take a wife divorced from her husband, for the priest is holy to his God.

祭司為聖、歸於上帝、故娼妓、淫女、棄婦、勿娶、

祭司為聖、以奉上帝、故娼妓淫奔棄婦勿娶。

妓女與被玷之女毋娶、被休之婦亦毋娶、蓋在其天主前當為聖、

“‘ They must not marry women defiled by prostitution or divorced from their husbands, because priests are holy to their God.

“‘ They must not get married to women who are“ unclean” because they are prostitutes. They must not marry women who are divorced from their husbands. That is because priests are holy. They are set apart for me. I am their God.

They shall not marry a prostitute or a woman who has been defiled, neither shall they marry a woman divorced from her husband, for the priest is holy to his God.

“ Priests may not marry a woman defiled by prostitution, and they may not marry a woman who is divorced from her husband, for the priests are set apart as holy to their God.

They are not to marry a woman defiled by prostitution. They are not to marry one divorced by her husband, for the priest is holy to his God.

They shall not take a woman who is a prostitute and profaned, nor shall they take a woman divorced from her husband; for he is holy to his God.

They shall not take a wife who is a harlot or a defiled woman, nor shall they take a woman divorced from her husband; for the priest is holy to his God.

They shall not take a woman that is a harlot, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

They are not to marry a woman defiled by prostitution. They are not to marry one divorced by her husband, for the priest is holy to his God.

They shall not take a wife[ that is] a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he[ is] holy unto his God.

“‘ They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane. A priest shall not marry a woman divorced from her husband; for he is holy to his God.

He must take a wife who is a virgin.He must not marry a widow, a divorced woman, or one profaned by prostitution; he may only take a virgin from his people as a wife.

They must not marry a widow or a divorcee, but they may marry a virgin from the house of Israel or a widow who is a priest’s widow.

If a man marries a woman and she does not please him because he has found something offensive in her, then he may draw up a divorce document, give it to her, and evict her from his house.When she has left him she may go and become someone else’s wife.If the second husband rejects her and then divorces her, gives her the papers, and evicts her from his house, or if the second husband who married her dies,her first husband who divorced her is not permitted to remarry her after she has become ritually impure, for that is offensive to the LORD. You must not bring guilt on the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

You must sanctify him because he presents the food of your God. He must be holy to you because I, the LORD who sanctifies you all, am holy.

This is what the LORD says:“ Where is your mother’s divorce certificate by which I divorced her? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Look, you were sold because of your sins; because of your rebellious acts I divorced your mother.

Likewise also their wives must be dignified, not slanderous, temperate, faithful in every respect.
