‘ And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.

“人偏向交鬼的和行巫术的，随他们行邪淫，我要向那人变脸，把他从民中剪除。

“人若转向招魂的和行巫术的，随从他们行淫，我就要向这人变脸，把他从百姓中剪除。

“人若转向招魂的和行巫术的，随从他们行淫，我就要向这人变脸，把他从百姓中剪除。

如果有人求问灵媒或巫师，与他们苟合，我必严惩，将他从民中铲除。

“如果有人转向交鬼的和行法术的，随从他们行淫，我必向那人变脸，把他从他的族人中剪除。

「人若轉向招魂的和行巫術的，隨從他們行淫，我就要向這人變臉，把他從百姓中剪除。

『人偏向交鬼的和行巫術的、變節去隨從他們，我要向那人板着臉，把他從他的族人中剪除掉。

凡狥欲從巫覡術士者、我必怒之、絕於民中、

憑於卜神、而為巫覡。有狥欲以從者、我必罰之、絕於民中。

凡行邪妄從交鬼之人及巫覡者、我必向斯人震怒、滅絕於民中、

“‘ I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people.

“‘ Suppose someone looks for advice from people who get messages from those who have died. Or they go to people who talk to the spirits of the dead. And they do what those people say. Then they have not been faithful to me. So I will turn against them. I will separate them from their people.

“ If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

“ I will also turn against those who commit spiritual prostitution by putting their trust in mediums or in those who consult the spirits of the dead. I will cut them off from the community.

“ Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists and prostitutes himself with them, I will turn against that person and cut him off from his people.

‘ As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the prostitute with them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

And the soul that turneth unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto the wizards, to play the harlot after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

“ Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists and prostitutes himself with them, I will turn against that person and cut him off from his people.

And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

“‘ The person who turns to the spirits of the dead and familiar spirits to commit prostitution by going after them, I will set my face against that person and cut him off from the midst of his people.

“‘ The person that turns to those who are mediums and wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.

‘ Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

‘ A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.’”

And when they say to you,“ Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?

For indeed, those who are far from You shall perish; You have destroyed all those who desert You for harlotry.

‘ You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying.

lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they play the harlot with their gods and make sacrifice to their gods, and one of them invites you and you eat of his sacrifice,and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their gods and make your sons play the harlot with their gods.

My people ask counsel from their wooden idols, And their staff informs them. For the spirit of harlotry has caused them to stray, And they have played the harlot against their God.

And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined,

Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations.

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you.

So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance.But he did not inquire of the Lord; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.
