I myself will set my face against that man and his clan. I will cut off from the midst of their people both him and all who follow after him in spiritual prostitution, to commit prostitution by worshiping Molech.

我必严惩那人一家，从民中铲除他和那些追随他与摩洛苟合的人。

我就要向那人和他的家板着臉，把他和一切隨從他變節的、就是變節去服事摩洛的人、都從他的族人中剪除掉。

我必怒之、與其眷屬、及凡狥欲從摩洛者、絕之民中、

我必罰之、及其眷聚、凡縱私欲奉摩洛、效彼為非者、絕之民中。

我必向彼及其眷屬震怒、將彼及凡效其妄為行邪拜摩洛者、悉絕之於民中、

I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molek.

Then I will turn against that man and his family. I will separate them from their people. I will also separate all those who follow him by joining themselves to Molek. They are not faithful to me.

“ I will punish her for the festival days when she burned incense to the Baal idols; she adorned herself with earrings and jewelry, and went after her lovers, but she forgot me!” says the LORD.

So they must no longer offer their sacrifices to the goat demons, acting like prostitutes by going after them. This is to be a perpetual statute for them throughout their generations.

“‘ Any man from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who reside in their midst who eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats the blood, and I will cut him off from the midst of his people,

They were defiled by their deeds, and unfaithful in their actions.

“ Look up at the hilltops and consider this. You have had sex with other gods on every one of them. You waited for those gods like a thief lying in wait in the desert. You defiled the land by your wicked prostitution to other gods.

I will give them a single-minded purpose to live in a way that always shows respect for me. They will want to do that for their own good and the good of the children who descend from them.

Therefore I, the LORD, say:‘ I will indeed hand this city over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the Babylonian army. They will capture it.The Babylonian soldiers that are attacking this city will break into it and set it on fire. They will burn it down along with the houses where people have made me angry by offering sacrifices to the god Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods on their rooftops.This will happen because the people of Israel and Judah have repeatedly done what displeases me from their earliest history until now and because they have repeatedly made me angry by the things they have done. I, the LORD, affirm it!This will happen because the people of this city have aroused my anger and my wrath since the time they built it until now. They have made me so angry that I am determined to remove it from my sight.I am determined to do so because the people of Israel and Judah have made me angry with all their wickedness– they, their kings, their officials, their priests, their prophets, and especially the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem have done this wickedness.They have turned away from me instead of turning to me. I tried over and over again to instruct them, but they did not listen and respond to correction.They set up their disgusting idols in the temple which I have claimed for my own and defiled it.They built places of worship for the god Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom so that they could sacrifice their sons and daughters to the god Molech. Such a disgusting practice was not something I commanded them to do! It never even entered my mind to command them to do such a thing! So Judah is certainly liable for punishment.’

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I, the LORD, your God, am a jealous God, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children to the third and fourth generations of those who reject me,
