“‘ Do not have sexual relations with the sister of either your mother or your father, for that would dishonor a close relative; both of you would be held responsible.

“‘ Do not have sex with the sister of either your mother or your father. That would bring shame on a close relative. Both of you would be held responsible for what you have done.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for that is to make naked one’s relative; they shall bear their iniquity.

“ Do not have sexual relations with your aunt, whether your mother’s sister or your father’s sister. This would dishonor a close relative. Both parties are guilty and will be punished for their sin.

不可露現你姑母的下體；她是你父親的骨肉之親。不可露現你姨母的下體，因為她是你母親的骨肉之親。不可露現你伯叔父的下體、去親近他的妻子，她是你的伯叔母。不可露現你兒媳婦的下體；她是你兒子的妻子，你不可露現她的下體。不可露現你弟兄的妻子的下體；那就是你弟兄的下體。不可露現一個婦人的下體、而又露現她女兒的下體；也不可娶她的孫子、或是她的外孫女、去露現她的下體；她們是她的骨肉之親：這是罪大惡極的事。妻子還活着的時候，你不可另娶她的姐妹、作她的對頭、去露現她的下體。女人在月經污穢期內不潔淨的時候，你不可親近她、去露現她的下體。『不可跟你同伴的妻子同寢交合，因而蒙不潔。不可將你的後裔燒獻為祭給摩洛；也不可褻瀆你的上帝的名；我是永恆主。不可和男的同寢，像和女人同寢一樣；那是可厭惡的。不可跟任何牲口同寢，因而蒙不潔；女人也不可站在牲口前面、而和牠性交；那是逆性的事。『不可因這些事的任一樣而蒙不潔，因為我從你們面前所趕走的外國人、就是在這一切事上蒙不潔的。連地也蒙不潔呢，所以我向那地察罰它的罪愆，那地就把它的居民吐出。故此你們要守我的律例和典章；這一切可厭惡的事、無論是本地人、是在你們中間寄居的外僑、都不可作，（因為這一切可厭惡的事、在你們以前那地的人都行了，而地就蒙了不潔；）免得你們使那地蒙不潔時、地就把你們吐出，像吐出你們以前的列國人一樣。因為凡作這些可厭惡之事的任一樣的、無論何人都必須從他們族人中被剪除。所以你們要守我所吩咐守的，免得你們實行這些可厭惡的規例、就是你們以前的人所作的、因而蒙了不潔；我永恆主是你們的上帝。』

暗蘭娶了他的姑母約基別為妻；她給他生了亞倫和摩西：暗蘭一生的歲數、是一百三十七歲。
