聽訟之際、勿行非義、權量法度、悉秉至公、我耶和華爾之上帝、昔導爾出埃及、爾當守我律法禮儀、我所命如此。

聽訟之時、毋行非義、尺丈權衡升斗悉當公平、

“‘ Do not use dishonest standards when measuring length, weight or quantity.

“‘ Be honest when you measure lengths, weights or amounts.

“ You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measures of length or weight or quantity.

“ Do not use dishonest standards when measuring length, weight, or volume.

“ Do not be unfair in measurements of length, weight, or volume.

‘ You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or volume.

‘ You shall do no injustice in judgment, in measurement of length, weight, or volume.

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.

“ You must not be unfair in measurements of length, weight, or volume.

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

You must not do injustice in the regulation of measures, whether of length, weight, or volume.

You shall not have in your bag diverse weights, one heavy and one light.

You shall have a perfect and just weight. You shall have a perfect and just measure, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.

For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.

Honest balances and scales are Yahweh’s; all the weights in the bag are his work.

In you have they taken bribes to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbors by oppression, and have forgotten me,” says the Lord Yahweh.“‘“ Behold, therefore I have struck my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been within you.

Listen now to what Yahweh says:“ Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear what you have to say.

“‘ You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.

Differing weights and differing measures, both of them alike are an abomination to Yahweh.

Saying,‘ When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may market wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel large, and dealing falsely with balances of deceit;that we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the sweepings with the wheat?’”
