Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight.

Honest weights and scales are the LORD’s; All the weights in the bag are His work.

In you they take bribes to shed blood; you take usury and increase; you have made profit from your neighbors by extortion, and have forgotten Me,” says the Lord GOD.“ Behold, therefore, I beat My fists at the dishonest profit which you have made, and at the bloodshed which has been in your midst.

Hear now what the Lord says:“ Arise, plead your case before the mountains, And let the hills hear your voice.

‘ You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

Diverse weights and diverse measures, They are both alike, an abomination to the Lord.

Saying:“ When will the New Moon be past, That we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, That we may trade wheat? Making the ephah small and the shekel large, Falsifying the scales by deceit,That we may buy the poor for silver, And the needy for a pair of sandals— Even sell the bad wheat?”
