“ You are not to eat anything with blood in it. You are not to practice divination or witchcraft.

“‘ Do not eat any meat with the blood still in it.“‘ Do not practice divination or seek omens.

“‘ Do not eat any meat that still has blood in it.“‘ Do not practice any kind of evil magic.

“ You shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it. You shall not interpret omens or tell fortunes.

“ Do not eat meat that has not been drained of its blood.“ Do not practice fortune telling or witchcraft.

‘ You shall not eat any meat with the blood. You shall not practice divination nor soothsaying.

‘ You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying.

Ye shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantments, nor practise augury.

“ You are not to eat anything with blood in it. You are not to practice divination or sorcery.

Ye shall not eat[ any thing] with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

“‘ You must not eat anything with the blood still in it. You must not practice either divination or soothsaying.

“‘ You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.

They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire and practiced divination and interpreted omens. They devoted themselves to do what was evil in the LORD’s sight and angered him.

He passed his sons through the fire in Ben Hinnom Valley. He practiced witchcraft, divination, and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did a huge amount of evil in the LORD’s sight, angering him.

This is a permanent statute throughout your generations, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood.”

Wherever you live, you must not eat the blood of any bird or animal.

But don’t eat the blood, since the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat.

No one among you is to sacrifice his son or daughter in the fire, practice divination, tell fortunes, interpret omens, practice sorcery,cast spells, consult a medium or a spiritist, or inquire of the dead.Everyone who does these acts is detestable to the LORD, and the LORD your God is driving out the nations before you because of these detestable acts.You must be blameless before the LORD your God.Though these nations you are about to drive out listen to fortune-tellers and diviners, the LORD your God has not permitted you to do this.

“ Anyone from the house of Israel or from the aliens who reside among them who eats any blood, I will turn against that person who eats blood and cut him off from his people.For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have appointed it to you to make atonement on the altar for your lives, since it is the lifeblood that makes atonement.Therefore I say to the Israelites: None of you and no alien who resides among you may eat blood.“ Any Israelite or alien residing among them, who hunts down a wild animal or bird that may be eaten must drain its blood and cover it with dirt.Since the life of every creature is its blood, I have told the Israelites: You are not to eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; whoever eats it must be cut off.

For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and defiance is like wickedness and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.

But then Pharaoh called the wise men and sorcerers— the magicians of Egypt, and they also did the same thing by their occult practices.

The Chaldeans answered the king,“ No one on earth can make known what the king requests. Consequently, no king, however great and powerful, has ever asked anything like this of any magician, medium, or Chaldean.

“ I will come to you in judgment, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the hired worker, the widow, and the fatherless; and against those who deny justice to the resident alien. They do not fear me,” says the LORD of Armies.

This is what the LORD says: Do not learn the way of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, although the nations are terrified by them,

But the magicians did the same thing by their occult practices and brought frogs up onto the land of Egypt.
