But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit. In this way your harvest will be increased. I am the Lord your God.

你们盼望多得，看哪，所得的却少；你们收到家中，我就吹去。这是为什么呢？因为我的殿荒凉，你们各人却只为自己的房屋奔走。这是万军之耶和华说的。所以，因你们的缘故，天不降甘露，地也不出土产。我命令干旱临到土地、山冈、五谷、新酒、新油和地上的出产，也临到人和牲畜，以及一切人手劳碌得来的。”

“你们若遵行我的律例，谨守我的诫命，实行它们，我必按时降雨给你们，使地长出农作物，田野的树结出果实。

当将你的粮食撒在水面上，因为日子久了，你必能得着它。将你所拥有的分给七人，或八人，因为你不知道会有什么灾祸临到地上。

“这殿荒凉，你们自己还住天花板的房屋吗？现在，万军之耶和华如此说，你们要省察自己的行为。你们撒的种多，收的却少；你们吃，却不得饱；喝，却不得足；穿衣服，却不得暖；领工钱的，领了工钱却装入有破洞的袋中。

你们心里要想一想，从今日起，就是从这九月二十四日起，从立耶和华殿根基的日子起，你们心里想一想：仓里还有谷种吗？葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树、橄榄树虽没有结果子，从今日起，我必赐福。”

人岂可抢夺上帝呢？你们竟抢夺我！你们却说：‘我们在何事上抢夺你呢？’其实就是在你们当纳的十分之一奉献和当献的供物上。因你们全国上下都抢夺我的供物，诅咒就临到你们身上。你们要将当纳的十分之一全然送入仓库，使我家有粮，以此试试我，是否为你们敞开天上的窗户，倾福与你们，甚至无处可容。这是万军之耶和华说的。

你要以财物和一切初熟的土产尊崇耶和华，这样，你的仓库必充满有余，你的酒池有新酒盈溢。
