到了第五年，你们才吃树上所结的果子，你们这样作，你们的生产就必增加；我是耶和华你们的神。

But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit. In this way your harvest will be increased. I am the Lord your God.

“你们期望丰收，反倒歉收；你们收到家里的，我就吹去。”为什么呢？万军之耶和华说：“因为我的殿宇荒废，你们各人却为自己的房屋奔驰。所以，因你们的缘故，天就不降甘露，地也不出土产。我叫干旱临到大地、群山、五谷、新酒、新油、地上的出产、人畜和人手劳碌得来的一切。”

你们遵行我的律例，谨守我的诫命，遵照奉行，我就按时给你们降下雨露，使地生出土产，田野的树木也结果实。

要把你的粮食撒在水面上，因为日久你必得回。你要分为七份，或分为八份，因为你不知道将来会有什么灾祸在地上发生。

“这殿宇仍然荒废，岂是你们住在有天花板的房屋的时候吗？”现在万军之耶和华这样说：“你们要反省自己的行为。你们撒的种多，收割的却少；你们吃，却吃不饱；你们喝，却喝不足；你们穿衣服，却穿不暖；得工钱的，却把工钱放在破袋里。”

你们要反省，从今日起回想过往，就是自九月二十四日起，从耶和华殿的奠基日开始，你们要反省：仓里还有种子吗？葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树和橄榄树，岂是还没有结果子吗？从今日起，我必赐福。’”

人怎可抢夺神之物呢？你们却抢夺属我之物，竟还问：‘我们抢夺了你的什么呢？’就是抢夺了当纳的十分之一和当献的祭物。你们要受严厉的咒诅，因你们全国的人都抢夺了属我之物。”万军之耶和华说：“你们要把当纳的十分之一，全部送入仓库，使我家中有粮；藉此试验我，看我是不是为你们敞开天窗，把福气倒给你们，直到充足有余呢。”

你要把你的财物，和一切初熟的农作物，敬奉耶和华。这样，你的仓库必充满有余，你的榨酒池也必盈溢新酒。
