“ You must obey all my decrees.“ Do not mate two different kinds of animals. Do not plant your field with two different kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven from two different kinds of thread.

“ You are to keep my statutes. Do not crossbreed two different kinds of your livestock, sow your fields with two kinds of seed, or put on a garment made of two kinds of material.

沒有人把沒縮過水的布塊補在舊衣服上，因為所補上的布塊會扯壞衣服，造成更大的裂口。也沒有人把新酒裝在舊皮袋裡，否則皮袋會脹破，酒會流出來，皮袋也被糟蹋了；相反，他們是把新酒裝在新皮袋裡，這樣兩者都保全了。」

押沙龍正巧碰上大衛的臣僕們。押沙龍騎著騾子，從一棵大橡樹的枝杈下經過，他的頭髮被橡樹緊緊纏住，他懸在半空中，胯下的騾子繼續往前跑。

押沙龍的僕人們就照他所吩咐的向暗嫩行了。王子們都起來，各人騎上騾子逃跑了。

這樣，那些有信仰的人，與有信仰的亞伯拉罕一同蒙祝福。凡是本於律法上行為的人，都在詛咒之下，因為經上記著：「任何人不持守、不遵行律法書上所記載的一切，都是被詛咒的。」所以，明顯地沒有人能藉著律法在神面前被稱為義，因為經上說：「義人將因信而活。」

既然藉著恩典，就不再本於行為了；否則，恩典就不再是恩典了。
