“‘ Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.

“‘ Do not make something wrong appear to be right. Treat poor people and rich people in the same way. Do not favor one person over another. Instead, judge everyone fairly.

“ You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

“ Do not twist justice in legal matters by favoring the poor or being partial to the rich and powerful. Always judge people fairly.

“ Do not act unjustly when deciding a case. Do not be partial to the poor or give preference to the rich; judge your neighbor fairly.

‘ You shall not do injustice in judgment; you shall not show partiality to the poor nor give preference to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly.

‘ You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

審判的時候，不可看人的外貌；聽訟不可分貴賤，不可懼怕人，因為審判是屬乎神的。若有難斷的案件，可以呈到我這裏，我就判斷。』

以下也是智慧人的箴言：審判時看人情面是不好的。

「你們施行審判，不可行不義；在尺、秤、升、斗上也是如此。

不可屈枉正直；不可看人的外貌。也不可受賄賂；因為賄賂能叫智慧人的眼變瞎了，又能顛倒義人的話。

「不可在窮人爭訟的事上屈枉正直。當遠離虛假的事。不可殺無辜和有義的人，因我必不以惡人為義。不可受賄賂；因為賄賂能叫明眼人變瞎了，又能顛倒義人的話。

不可隨眾行惡；不可在爭訟的事上隨眾偏行，作見證屈枉正直；也不可在爭訟的事上偏護窮人。

說：你們審判不秉公義，徇惡人的情面，要到幾時呢？（細拉）

你們反倒羞辱貧窮人。那富足人豈不是欺壓你們、拉你們到公堂去嗎？他們不是褻瀆你們所敬奉的尊名嗎？經上記着說：「要愛人如己。」你們若全守這至尊的律法才是好的。但你們若按外貌待人，便是犯罪，被律法定為犯法的。

「『向寄居的和孤兒寡婦屈枉正直的，必受咒詛！』百姓都要說：『阿們！』

「你囊中不可有一大一小兩樣的法碼。你家裏不可有一大一小兩樣的升斗。當用對準公平的法碼，公平的升斗。這樣，在耶和華－你神所賜你的地上，你的日子就可以長久。因為行非義之事的人都是耶和華－你神所憎惡的。」

瞻徇惡人的情面，偏斷義人的案件，都為不善。

對他們說：「你們辦事應當謹慎；因為你們判斷不是為人，乃是為耶和華。判斷的時候，他必與你們同在。現在你們應當敬畏耶和華，謹慎辦事；因為耶和華－我們的神沒有不義，不偏待人，也不受賄賂。」

並要從百姓中揀選有才能的人，就是敬畏神、誠實無妄、恨不義之財的人，派他們作千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長，管理百姓，
