‘ You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired worker are not to remain with you all night until morning.

“‘ Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.“‘ Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight.

“‘ Do not cheat your neighbor. Do not rob him.“‘ Do not hold back the pay of a hired worker until morning.

“ You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

“ Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.“ Do not make your hired workers wait until the next day to receive their pay.

“ Do not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages due a hired worker must not remain with you until morning.

Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him: the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

“‘ You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him.“‘ The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of armies.

“ Then I will come near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, those who oppress the wage earner in his wages or the widow or the orphan, and those who turn away the stranger from justice and do not fear Me,” says the Lord of armies.

“ You shall not exploit a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your strangers who are in your land in your towns.You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets— for he is poor and sets his heart on it— so that he does not cry out against you to the Lord, and it becomes a sin in you.

Differing weights and differing measures, Both of them are abominable to the Lord.

If I have eaten its fruit without money, Or have caused its owners to lose their lives,

This is what the Lord says:“ Do justice and righteousness, and save one who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor. And do not mistreat or do violence to the stranger, the orphan, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place.

You know the commandments:‘ Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’ ”

and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.“ If you lend money to My people, to the poor among you, you are not to act as a creditor to him; you shall not charge him interest.If you ever seize your neighbor’s cloak as a pledge, you are to return it to him before the sun sets,for that is his only covering; it is his cloak for his body. What else is he to sleep in? And it will come about that when he cries out to Me, I will listen to him, for I am gracious.

The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery, and they have oppressed the poor and needy, and have oppressed the stranger without justice.

If the thief is not caught, then the owner of the house shall appear before the judges, to determine whether he laid his hands on his neighbor’s property.For every breach of trust, whether it is for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any lost thing about which one says,‘ This is it,’ the case of both parties shall come before the judges; he whom the judges condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.

“ Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness, And his upstairs rooms without justice, Who uses his neighbor’s services without pay And does not give him his wages,

Do not rob the poor because he is poor, Nor crush the needy at the gate;

or has found what was lost and lied about it and sworn falsely, so that he sins regarding any of the things that people do;

and that no one violate the rights and take advantage of his brother or sister in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you previously and solemnly warned you.

If its owner is with it, the borrower shall not be compelled to make restitution. If it is hired, it came by its hire.

If it is all torn to pieces, have him bring it as evidence; he shall not be compelled to make restitution for what has been torn to pieces.

“ You shall not oppress a stranger nor torment him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

And he said to them,“ Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.”
