So obey my instructions, and do not defile yourselves by committing any of these detestable practices that were committed by the people who lived in the land before you. I am the Lord your God.”

你们要遵守我的吩咐，免得你们随从那些可憎的习俗，就是在你们之前的人所做的，玷污了自己。我是耶和华—你们的上帝。”

爾當守我法度、彼之所行、事多可憎、玷及其身、爾毋則傚、我耶和華爾之上帝所命如此。

必謹守我所命爾當守者、在爾以前之人可憎之惡俗、毋習染自污、我乃主爾之天主、

Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’”

Do exactly what I require. When you arrive in Canaan, do not follow any of the practices of its people. I hate the things they do. Do not make yourselves“ unclean” by doing them. I am the Lord your God.’ ”

So keep my charge never to practice any of these abominable customs that were practiced before you, and never to make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.”

So you are to keep your commitment to Me not to practice any of the abominable customs which have been practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves with them; I am the Lord your God.’ ”

‘ Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the Lord your God.’”

Therefore shall ye keep my charge, that ye practise not any of these abominable customs, which were practised before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am Jehovah your God.

You must keep My instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am Yahweh your God.”

Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that[ ye] commit not[ any one] of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I[ am] the LORD your God.

You must obey my charge to not practice any of the abominable statutes that have been done before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them. I am the LORD your God.’”

Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them. I am Yahweh your God.’”

Do not live according to the customs of the people I am driving out before you. It is because they do these shameful things that I detest them.

“ The priests must follow my instructions carefully. Otherwise they will be punished for their sin and will die for violating my instructions. I am the Lord who makes them holy.

You must obey all my decrees and regulations. You must not commit any of these detestable sins. This applies both to native born Israelites and to the foreigners living among you.“ All these detestable activities are practiced by the people of the land where I am taking you, and this is how the land has become defiled.

“ When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there.For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft,or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead.Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. It is because the other nations have done these detestable things that the Lord your God will drive them out ahead of you.

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. I am the Lord your God.So do not act like the people in Egypt, where you used to live, or like the people of Canaan, where I am taking you. You must not imitate their way of life.You must obey all my regulations and be careful to obey my decrees, for I am the Lord your God.

“ You must love the Lord your God and always obey his requirements, decrees, regulations, and commands.
