勿拜跪其神、勿崇奉之、勿傚其所為、當傾其神像、碎其柱像、

我諭之曰、各棄爾目所慕可惡之物、勿以埃及之偶像、自染污衊、我乃耶和華、爾之上帝也、惟彼違逆、而不聽我、不棄所慕可惡之物、不離埃及之偶像、故彼尚在埃及、我曰、必傾我怒、盡洩我忿於其身、

我於爾前所逐之族、行此惡事、我實憎之、勿從其俗、

俾不再循人慾、惟循上帝之旨、以度餘年、爾往時從異邦人之欲、而行邪侈、縱恣、沉湎、荒宴、盤樂、及違理拜像之事亦足矣、彼見爾不同其流蕩無度、則異而謗之、

彼既滅於爾前、爾當慎之、勿受誘而從之、勿問其神、自謂斯族若何事神、我亦如之、爾事爾上帝耶和華、不可效之、蓋耶和華所憎之惡事、彼悉行之於其神、至以子女焚而獻之、

當其少年、在埃及行淫、為男玷污、摩撫厥乳、迄今未改、

勿效其俗、以事爾上帝耶和華、

耶和華曰、勿習異邦之俗、勿懼天象之兆、斯乃列邦所懼也、列邦之例虛偽、有人由林伐木、匠人以斧製之、

勿同世態、惟以心之更新而變化、致驗上帝旨、乃善而可悅、且純全者也、○

故勿與之同羣、蓋爾素為暗、今宗主而為光、當如光明之人而行、夫光明之實、乃在諸善、與義與誠也、宜審主之所悅、毋與無實之暗行、寧責之、

乃與諸族雜處、習其行為兮、

勿緣斯事自辱厥躬、我於爾前所逐之民、行此自玷、厥地見污、故我以罪加之、俾其居民為地所吐、爾曹不論宗族、及旅於爾中者、當守我典章律例、毋為此可憎之事、昔居斯土之人、行此可憎之事、致玷厥地、爾勿效之、而污斯地、免為所吐、如吐先爾之民然、凡為此可憎之事、必絕於民中、爾當守我所命、勿從在昔可憎之俗、而玷爾身、我乃耶和華、爾之上帝也、
