爾毋行此沾污己身、我於爾前所將逐之諸族皆行之、自取沾污、

“‘ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled.

“‘ Do not make yourselves“ unclean” in any of these ways. That is how other nations became“ unclean.” So I am going to drive those nations out of the land to make room for you.

“ Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean,

“ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for the people I am driving out before you have defiled themselves in all these ways.

“ Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.

‘ Do not defile yourselves by any of these things; for by all these things the nations which I am driving out from you have become defiled.

‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you;

“ Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.

“‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things, for the nations which I am about to drive out before you have been defiled with all these things.

“‘ Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.

Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. (niv)

Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’” (niv)

You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. (niv)

But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.For out of the heart come evil thoughts— murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.” (niv)

Again and again I sent my servants the prophets, who said,‘ Do not do this detestable thing that I hate!’ (niv)

You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. (niv)

If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. (niv)

“‘ No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.“‘ Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, because she is your mother’s close relative.“‘ Do not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. That is wickedness.“‘ Do not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living.“‘ Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her.“‘ Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.“‘ Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion. (niv)

For Moses said,‘ Honor your father and mother,’ and,‘ Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban( that is, devoted to God)—then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother.Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said,“ Listen to me, everyone, and understand this.Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” (niv)
