‘ Do not defile yourselves by any of these things; for by all these things the nations which I am driving out from you have become defiled.

『不可因這些事的任一樣而蒙不潔，因為我從你們面前所趕走的外國人、就是在這一切事上蒙不潔的。

勿緣斯事自辱厥躬、我於爾前所逐之民、行此自玷、

異邦人行此、自取污衊、故我逐之、爾勿則效、

爾毋行此沾污己身、我於爾前所將逐之諸族皆行之、自取沾污、

“‘ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled.

“‘ Do not make yourselves“ unclean” in any of these ways. That is how other nations became“ unclean.” So I am going to drive those nations out of the land to make room for you.

“ Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean,

“ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for the people I am driving out before you have defiled themselves in all these ways.

“ Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.

‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you;

“ Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

“‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things, for the nations which I am about to drive out before you have been defiled with all these things.

“‘ Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.

For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God is going to drive them out before you.

So you are to keep your commitment to Me not to practice any of the abominable customs which have been practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves with them; I am the Lord your God.’ ”

You shall not behave this way toward the Lord your God, because every abominable act which the Lord hates, they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire for their gods.

But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and those things defile the person.For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, acts of adultery, other immoral sexual acts, thefts, false testimonies, and slanderous statements.These are the things that defile the person; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person.”

Yet I sent you all My servants the prophets again and again, saying,“ Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate.”

You shall not do what is done in the land of Egypt where you lived, nor are you to do what is done in the land of Canaan where I am bringing you; you shall not walk in their statutes.

‘ You are therefore to keep all My statutes and all My ordinances, and do them, so that the land to which I am bringing you to live will not vomit you out.Furthermore, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I am going to drive out before you, because they did all these things; therefore I have felt disgust for them.

If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

‘ None of you shall approach any blood relative of his to uncover nakedness; I am the Lord.You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, that is, the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you are not to uncover her nakedness.You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife; it is your father’s nakedness.As for the nakedness of your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether born in the household or born outside the household, you shall not uncover their nakedness.The nakedness of your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, their nakedness you shall not uncover; for their nakedness is yours.The nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, born to your father, she is your sister; you shall not uncover her nakedness.You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister; she is your father’s blood relative.You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s blood relative.You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother. You shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter in law. She is your son’s wife; you shall not uncover her nakedness.You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; it is your brother’s nakedness.You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and of her daughter, nor shall you take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are blood relatives. It is an outrageous sin.And you shall not marry a woman in addition to her sister as a second wife while she is alive, to uncover her nakedness.‘ Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness during her menstrual impurity.And you shall not have sexual intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, to be defiled with her.You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.You shall not sleep with a male as one sleeps with a female; it is an abomination.Also you shall not have sexual intercourse with any animal to be defiled with it, nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is a perversion.

For Moses said,‘ Honor your father and your mother’; and,‘ The one who speaks evil of father or mother, is certainly to be put to death’;but you say,‘ If a person says to his father or his mother, whatever I have that would help you is Corban( that is, given to God),’you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother;thereby invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many things such as that.”After He called the crowd to Him again, He began saying to them,“ Listen to Me, all of you, and understand:there is nothing outside the person which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which come out of the person are what defile the person.”
