“‘ Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; do not have relations with her.

“‘ Do not have sex with your daughter- in- law. She is your son’s wife. Do not have sex with her.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son’s wife, you shall not uncover her nakedness.

He said,“ What pledge shall I give you?” And she said,“ Your seal and your cord, and your staff that is in your hand.” So he gave them to her and had relations with her, and she conceived by him.Then she got up and departed, and removed her veil and put on her widow’s garments.
