“ Say to them:‘ Any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

“ Tell them,‘ Suppose someone offers a burnt offering or sacrifice. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider.

“ And you shall say to them, Any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

“ Give them this command as well. If any native Israelite or foreigner living among you offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ Say to them: Anyone from the house of Israel or from the aliens who reside among them who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ Then you shall say to them,‘ Anyone from the house of Israel, or from the strangers who reside among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

“ Also you shall say to them:‘ Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell among you, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that offereth a burnt- offering or sacrifice,

“ Say to them: Anyone from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who live among them who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man[ there be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

“ You are to say to them:‘ Any man from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who reside in their midst, who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ You shall say to them,‘ Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

以利亞把眾人召集到自己跟前，他重修已遭毀壞的耶和華的祭壇，拿了十二塊石頭分別代表雅各子孫的十二支派。耶和華曾經對雅各說：「你的名字要叫以色列。」以利亞就奉耶和華的名用那些石頭築了一座祭壇，又在壇的周圍挖了一條能盛十五升穀種的溝，然後在壇上擺好柴，把公牛切成塊放在柴上，對眾人說：「你們去打四桶水倒在祭物和柴上。」他們照做了。以利亞吩咐他們再倒一次，他們又倒了一次。以利亞又吩咐他們倒第三次，他們就倒了第三次。水流到壇的四周，溝裡也灌滿了。到了獻晚祭的時候，以利亞先知走到壇前禱告：「亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的上帝耶和華啊，求你今天讓這些人知道你是以色列的上帝，我是你的僕人，我是按你的命令做這一切事。耶和華啊，求你應允我，應允我，好讓眾人知道你耶和華是上帝，你要使他們回心轉意。」於是，耶和華降火燒盡了祭物、木柴、石頭、塵土，甚至溝裡的水。

撒母耳把一隻還在吃奶的羊獻給耶和華作全牲燔祭。他為以色列人呼求耶和華，耶和華垂聽了他的祈求。

若沒有把牲畜帶到會幕門口，在耶和華的聖幕前獻給耶和華，便是犯了流血之罪，要將他從民中剷除。

你先到吉甲去，在那裡等我七天，我會到那裡獻燔祭和平安祭。我到了以後會告訴你怎麼做。」

然後，在這座山頂上把石頭堆放整齊，為你的上帝耶和華築一座祭壇，用砍倒的亞舍拉神像作柴，把那頭牛獻作燔祭。」

「任何以色列人或寄居在以色列人中間的外族人若吃血，耶和華必嚴懲，把他從民中剷除。

大衛在麥場上為耶和華建了一座壇，獻上燔祭和平安祭，耶和華垂聽了他的禱告，瘟疫就在以色列止住了。

萬軍之耶和華說：「從日出之地到日落之處，列國必尊崇我的名。世上每個角落都有人向我焚香，獻上潔淨的供物。因為我的名必受列國尊崇。

撒母耳說：「我怎麼可以去呢？掃羅知道了，一定會殺掉我。」耶和華說：「你帶一頭牛犢去，就說，『我是來向耶和華獻祭的。』
