For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

所以，耶穌也在城門外受苦，為要用自己的血使百姓成聖。

藉着他，上帝使萬有與自己和好，無論是地上的、天上的，都藉着他在十字架上所流的血促成了和平。

我們藉着這愛子的血得蒙救贖，過犯得以赦免，這是照他豐富的恩典，

就是照父上帝的預知，藉着聖靈得以成聖，以致順服耶穌基督，又蒙他血所灑的人。願恩惠、平安多多地賜給你們！

現在我們既靠着他的血稱義，就更要藉着他得救，免受上帝的憤怒。

「亞倫要把他自己贖罪祭的公牛獻上，為自己和家人贖罪，他要宰作自己贖罪祭的公牛。

因為這是我立約的血，為許多人流出來，使罪得赦。

就宰了公牛。摩西取了血，用指頭抹在祭壇周圍的四個翹角上，使壇潔淨，再把其餘的血倒在壇的底座上，使壇成為聖，為壇贖罪。

正如人子來，不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，並且要捨命，作多人的贖價。」

「因一切動物的生命，牠的血就是牠的生命。所以我對以色列人說：無論甚麼動物的血，你們都不可吃，因為一切動物的生命就是牠的血。凡吃血的必被剪除。

他要取一些公牛的血，用手指彈在櫃蓋的前面，就是東面，又在櫃蓋的前面用手指彈血七次。「他要宰那隻為百姓作贖罪祭的公山羊，把羊的血帶入幔子內，把血彈在櫃蓋的上面和前面，好像彈公牛的血一樣。因以色列人的不潔淨和過犯，就是他們一切的罪，他要為聖所贖罪；因會幕在他們不潔淨之中，他也要為會幕照樣做。他進聖所贖罪的時候，會幕裏都不准有人，直等到他為自己和家人，以及以色列全會眾贖了罪出來。他出來後，要到耶和華面前的祭壇那裏，為壇贖罪。他要取一些公牛的血和公山羊的血，抹在壇周圍的四個翹角上。他也要用手指把血彈在壇上七次，使壇從以色列人的不潔淨中得以潔淨，成為聖。」
