因為肉之生命是在於血；是我給了你們讓它在祭壇上為你們的生命行除罪禮的；因為是血（血是生命）在除罪的。

For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

The life of each creature is in its blood. So I have given you the blood of animals to pay for your sin on the altar. Blood is life. That is why blood pays for your sin.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.

在這兒子裏，我們得到贖放，得了罪惡之赦免。

又從耶穌基督、那忠信的捨生作證者、死人中活起來的首生者、地上諸王的元首、得恩惠平安。他愛我們，用他的血解放了我們脫離我們的罪；

耶穌對他們說：『這是我的血、盟約的血、替許多人流出來的。

惟獨帶生命的肉，就是帶血的肉，你們卻不可喫。

所以耶穌也是這樣：耶穌為要藉自己的血叫人民成聖，就在城外受苦。

並且藉着他、使萬有、無論在地上的、或天上的、都藉着他而跟自己完全復和，藉着他十字架上之流血而締造了和平。

在這蒙愛者裏面、我們藉着他的血得贖放，過犯得赦免，都照上帝恩典之豐富。

照父上帝所豫知、靠靈之聖化、而聽從耶穌基督、受他血灑的。願你們多多蒙恩平安。

所以我們如今既因着基督的血得稱為義，豈不更要藉着他而得救、脫離上帝之義怒麼？

『亞倫要把那為自己做解罪祭的公牛獻上，為本身和本家行除罪禮；他要把那為自己做解罪祭的公牛宰了。

因為這是我的血，盟約的血，為許多人流出來，使罪得赦免的。

就宰了公牛；取點兒血，用指頭抹在祭壇四角上的周圍，給祭壇除罪污，把血倒在祭壇腳那裏，將壇分別為聖，給祭壇除罪染。

正如人子來，並不是要受服事，乃是要服事人，並且將性命獻出，替許多人做贖價。』

因為凡有血肉的的生命、其血就等於其生命。所以我對以色列人說：凡有血肉的的血、你們都不可喫，因為凡有血肉的的生命、就是牠的血；凡喫血的必須被剪除。

他要取公牛的一點兒血，用指頭彈在除罪蓋的東面；他要用指頭把血彈在除罪蓋的前面彈七次。『他要宰那為人民做解罪祭的公山羊，把羊的血帶進帷帳內，用這血行禮，像他用公牛的血行禮一樣，彈血在除罪蓋上面，又彈在除罪蓋前面。因以色列人的不潔淨、和過犯、跟一切的罪、他要為至聖所除罪染；為會棚也要這樣行，因為那是在他們的不潔淨中間、和他們同住的。他進至聖所行除罪禮、為本身和本家以及以色列全體大眾行除罪禮時候，未出來以前，會棚裏都不可有人。他要出來、到永恆主面前的祭壇那裏，為壇除罪染，取公牛的一點兒血、和公山羊的血，抹在祭壇四角上的四圍。也要用指頭把血彈在祭壇上七次，使壇潔淨、免去以色列人的不潔淨，把壇分別為聖。
