He must put on the sacred inner robe made out of linen. He must wear linen underwear next to his body. He must tie the linen belt around him. And he must put the linen turban on his head. Those are sacred clothes. So he must take a bath before he puts them on.

“‘ When they enter the gates of the inner court, they are to wear linen clothes; they must not wear any woolen garment while ministering at the gates of the inner court or inside the temple.They are to wear linen turbans on their heads and linen undergarments around their waists. They must not wear anything that makes them perspire.

Whenever they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die. Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting a food offering to the Lord,

The priest shall then put on his linen clothes, with linen undergarments next to his body, and shall remove the ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and place them beside the altar.

For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen— the work of a weaver—and the turban of fine linen, the linen caps and the undergarments of finely twisted linen.The sash was made of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn— the work of an embroiderer— as the Lord commanded Moses.

Such a high priest truly meets our need— one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water.He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, clothed him with the robe and put the ephod on him. He also fastened the ephod with a decorative waistband, which he tied around him.

He shall bathe himself with water in the sanctuary area and put on his regular garments. Then he shall come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself and the burnt offering for the people, to make atonement for himself and for the people.

Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor.

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death— that is, the devil—

He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

and Moses and Aaron and his sons used it to wash their hands and feet.They washed whenever they entered the tent of meeting or approached the altar, as the Lord commanded Moses.

The angel answered,“ The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
