He shall bathe himself with water in the sanctuary area and put on his regular garments. Then he shall come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself and the burnt offering for the people, to make atonement for himself and for the people.

所以，弟兄們，既然我們靠着耶穌的血得以坦然進入至聖所，是藉着他給我們開了一條又新又活的路，從幔子經過，這幔子就是他的身體。既然我們有一位偉大祭司治理神的家，那麼，我們該用誠心和充足的信心，同已蒙潔淨、無虧的良心，和清水洗淨了的身體來親近神。

這些事只不過是有關飲食和各種潔淨的規矩，是屬肉體的條例，它的功效是直到新次序的時期來到為止。

要帶亞倫和他兒子到會幕的門口，用水洗他們。要拿服裝，給亞倫穿上內袍和以弗得的外袍，以及以弗得，又帶上胸袋，束上以弗得精緻的帶子。

所要做的是胸袋、以弗得、外袍、織成的內袍、禮冠和腰帶。他們要為你哥哥亞倫和他的兒子做聖衣，使他們作祭司事奉我。要用金色、藍色、紫色、朱紅色紗，和細麻去縫製。」「他們要用金色、藍色、紫色、朱紅色紗，和搓的細麻，以刺繡的手藝做以弗得。以弗得當有兩條肩帶，接上兩端，使它相連。以弗得的精緻帶子，要以一樣的手藝，用金色、藍色、紫色、朱紅色紗，和搓的細麻縫製，與以弗得接連在一起。要取兩塊紅瑪瑙，在上面刻以色列兒子的名字：六個名字在一塊寶石上，六個名字在另一塊寶石上，都按照他們出生的次序。要以雕刻寶石的手藝，如同刻印章，把以色列兒子的名字刻在這兩塊寶石上，並把寶石鑲在金槽裏。要把這兩塊寶石安在以弗得的兩條肩帶上，為以色列人作紀念石。亞倫要在耶和華面前把他們的名字帶在兩肩上，作為紀念。要用金子做兩個槽，再用純金打兩條鏈子，像編成的繩子一樣，把這編成的金鏈扣在槽上。」

摸了這些的人必不潔淨到晚上；若不用水洗身，就不可吃聖物。

摩西領了亞倫和他兒子前來，用水洗他們。他給亞倫穿上內袍，束上腰帶，套上外袍，加上以弗得，再束上精緻的帶子，把以弗得繫在他身上。他又給亞倫戴上胸袋，把烏陵和土明放在胸袋內。他把禮冠戴在亞倫的頭上，禮冠前面安上金牌，成為聖冕，是照耶和華所吩咐摩西的。

到了第七天，他要剃所有的毛髮，頭髮、鬍鬚、眼睛的眉毛，他全身的毛都剃了；然後，他要洗衣服，用水洗身，才潔淨了。
