He shall bathe himself with water in the sanctuary area and put on his regular garments. Then he shall come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself and the burnt offering for the people, to make atonement for himself and for the people.

He must take a bath in the holy area. And he must put on his regular clothes. Then he will come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself. He will also sacrifice the burnt offering for the people. That will pay for his own sin and the people’s sin.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;And[ having] an high priest over the house of God;Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

[ Which stood] only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed[ on them] until the time of reformation.

And these[ are] the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.And they shall make the ephod[ of] gold,[ of] blue, and[ of] purple,[ of] scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and[ so] it shall be joined together.And the curious girdle of the ephod, which[ is] upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof;[ even of] gold,[ of] blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:Six of their names on one stone, and[ the other] six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.With the work of an engraver in stone,[ like] the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod[ for] stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.And thou shalt make ouches[ of] gold;And two chains[ of] pure gold at the ends;[ of] wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.

The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.

And from Jesus Christ,[ who is] the faithful witness,[ and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him[ be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound[ it] unto him therewith.And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre,[ even] upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.

But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
