“‘ When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean.

“‘ Suppose the man has been healed from his liquid flow. Then he must wait seven days. He must wash his clothes. He must take a bath in fresh water. After that, he will be“ clean.”

七天之內，你們不可出會幕的門口，直到你們承受聖職禮的日子滿了，因為主要用這七天使你們承受聖職（“使你們承受聖職”原文作“他充滿你們的手”）。

到了第八天，摩西把亞倫和他的兒子，以及以色列的眾長老都召了來；

我必用潔淨的水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了；我必潔淨你們的一切污穢，使你們遠離所有可憎的像。“‘我必把新心賜給你們，把新靈放在你們裡面；我必從你們的肉體中除去石心，把肉心賜給你們。我必把我的靈放在你們裡面，使你們遵行我的律例，謹守遵行我的典章。你們要住在我賜給你們列祖的地；你們要作我的子民，我要作你們的神。我必拯救你們脫離你們的一切污穢；我必叫五穀豐收，不使你們遇見饑荒。

“第八天，他要取兩隻沒有殘疾的公羊羔和一隻沒有殘疾一歲的母羊羔，又要把調油的細麵三公斤作素祭，以及三分之一公升油一同取來。

“這樣，你要照我吩咐你的，向亞倫和他的兒子行接受聖職的禮七天。

我必潔淨他們得罪我的一切罪孽，並且赦免他們得罪我和悖逆我的一切罪孽。

你要為祭壇行贖罪祭七天，也要使它成聖，這樣，祭壇就成為至聖；一切觸著祭壇的東西，都要成聖。

耶和華對摩西說：“如果她的父親吐唾沫在她臉上，她不是要蒙羞七天嗎？現在把她關在營外七天，然後才讓她回來。”

“摸了任何人類屍體的，必不潔淨七天。那人在第三天要用這樣除污穢的水潔淨自己，到第七天他就潔淨了；如果他在第三天不潔淨自己，到第七天他就不潔淨了。

你們應當親近神，神就親近你們。罪人啊，要潔淨你們的手；三心兩意的人哪，要清潔你們的心。

所以，親愛的，我們有了這些應許，就應該潔淨自己，除去身體和心靈上的一切污穢，存著敬畏神的心，達到成聖的地步。

誰觸摸他身下任何東西，都不潔淨到晚上；拿了這些東西的，要洗淨自己的衣服，用水洗澡，並且不潔淨到晚上。誰觸摸有異常排泄的人，而沒有洗手，就要洗淨自己的衣服，用水洗澡，並且不潔淨到晚上。
