My eyes favor the faithful of the land so that they may sit down with me. The one who follows the way of integrity may serve me.

They went throughout the towns of Judah and taught the people.

No widow is to be enrolled on the list for support unless she is at least sixty years old, has been the wife of one husband,and is well known for good works— that is, if she has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the saints’ feet, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to every good work.

For I have chosen him so that he will command his children and his house after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just. This is how the LORD will fulfill to Abraham what he promised him.”
