可是有一件事我要責備你，就是你容許那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別教導我的眾奴僕，引誘他們淫亂、吃祭過偶像的食物。

不過有幾件事我要責備你，你那裡有人隨從巴蘭的教導。這巴蘭從前教巴勒在以色列人面前佈下網羅，使他們吃祭過偶像的食物、犯淫亂的罪。同樣，你們當中也有人附從尼哥拉黨的教導。所以你要悔改，否則我必迅速到你那裡，用我口中的劍攻擊他們。

除掉銀子裡的渣滓，銀匠就能鑄造器皿。清除君王身邊的惡人，王位必因公義而鞏固。

詭詐的人必不得與我同住，口出謊言的人必不得侍立在我面前。每天早晨我要消滅國中所有的惡人，從耶和華的城中剷除一切作惡的人。

那些如同惡犬的敗類、行邪術的、淫亂的、殺人的、拜偶像的和一切喜歡弄虛作假的，都要被拒之城外。

如果他仍然不聽，就應當告訴教會。如果他連教會也不聽，就把他看作異教徒或稅吏。

上帝自會審判教會以外的人，你們要把那邪惡的人從你們當中趕出去。

屬於我的枝子如果不結果子，祂就把它剪掉；如果結果子，祂便修剪它，讓它結更多的果子。

我必攻擊你，用鹼煉淨你的渣滓，除盡你的雜質。我必像從前一樣賜你審判官和謀士。之後，你必被稱為公義之城、忠信之邑。」

對於製造分裂的人，警告過一兩次後，要和他斷絕來往。

我要消滅暗中譭謗鄰居的人，也不容忍心高氣傲的人。

趕走嘲諷者，紛爭平息，爭吵和羞辱也會消除。

『我知道你的行為、勞碌和堅忍，也知道你嫉惡如仇，曾查驗出那些假冒的使徒，揭穿他們的虛假。

然而你還有一點可取之處，就是你跟我一樣痛恨尼哥拉黨人的行徑。

你們要把這人交給撒旦去毀壞他的肉體，好使這人的靈魂在主耶穌再來的日子可以得救。你們自誇不是好事，豈不知小小的一點麵酵，足以使整團麵發起來嗎？
