這些只是關於飲食和各樣潔淨的禮儀，是在“更新的時候”來到之前，為肉體立的規例。

我們在許多的事上都有過錯，假如有人在言語上沒有過錯，他就是完全的人，也能夠控制全身。

求你在天上垂聽他們的禱告和懇求，為他們主持公道。

彼得說：“不行，你千萬不可洗我的腳！”耶穌說：“如果我不洗你，你就與我沒有關係了。”西門．彼得說：“主啊，那就不單洗我的腳，連我的手和頭都洗吧！”耶穌說：“洗過澡的人，全身都潔淨，只需要洗腳就可以了。你們是潔淨的，但不是人人都是這樣。”

誰能知道自己的錯誤呢？求你赦免我隱而未現的過失。

誰能說：“我潔淨了我的心，我是清潔無罪的”？

拾起牠們屍體的，就要洗淨自己的衣服，並且不潔淨到晚上。以上這些你們應以為不潔淨。

你們要接納信心軟弱的人，不要論斷引起爭論的事。

他必以敬畏耶和華為樂。他不憑眼睛所見的施行審判，也不憑耳朵所聽的斷定是非；卻要以公義審判貧窮人，以正直判斷地上的困苦人；以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裡的氣殺死惡人。

我們良心的邪惡既然被灑淨，身體也用清水洗淨了，那麼，我們就應該懷著真誠的心和完備的信，進到神面前；

所以，親愛的，我們有了這些應許，就應該潔淨自己，除去身體和心靈上的一切污穢，存著敬畏神的心，達到成聖的地步。

世上實在沒有一個行善而不犯罪的義人。

誰吃了牠的屍體，就要洗淨自己的衣服，並且不潔淨到晚上；誰拾起這屍體，也要洗淨自己的衣服，並且不潔淨到晚上。

這世代向他行事敗壞，就不是他的兒女，滿有弊病，這實在是個乖僻彎曲的世代。

你的子民以色列，或是眾人，或是個人，知道自己心裡的苦痛，向這殿伸開雙手所作的一切禱告、一切懇求，

“如果有人在皮肉上生了瘤，或癬，或火斑，後來皮肉變成了大痲風病症（本章病名多不能確定它們的學名。傳統翻譯作“痲風”的希伯來字，本章用來形容不同的皮膚病症），就要把他帶到一個作祭司的亞倫子孫那裡。

壓傷的蘆葦，他不折斷；將熄滅的燈火，他不吹滅；他忠實地傳出公理。
