大卫对拿单说：“我得罪了耶和华。”拿单说：“耶和华已经赦免了你的罪，使你不致死亡。

你们现在要饶恕他、安慰他，免得他忧伤过度而一蹶不振。

“有谁对上帝说，‘我受了管教，不会再犯罪；我不明白的事，求你指教我；我若行了恶事，必不再行’？

可以在今后的生活中不再随从人的私欲，只服从上帝的旨意。你们从前长期沉溺于异教徒的嗜好——淫乱、纵欲、醉酒、狂欢、宴乐和可憎的偶像崇拜。

弟兄姊妹，如果有人不慎犯了罪，你们顺从圣灵的人就应该温柔地挽回他，同时也要小心，免得自己也受诱惑。
