那时，你们必再次看出义人与恶人、服事神的人与不服事神的人的区别。”

所以，我们不要再彼此评断，倒要下定决心，不给弟兄放下绊跌物或绊脚石。我知道，并且在主耶稣里深信：没有一样东西本身是不洁净的。只是，如果有人认为什么是不洁净的，对他来说，那就是不洁净的。如果因食物的缘故使你的弟兄忧伤，你就不再是凭着爱行事了。基督已经替他死了，不可因你的食物毁了他。所以，不要让你们看为好的事受到毁谤，因为神的国不在于吃喝，而在于圣灵里的公义、和睦、喜乐。要知道，如此服事基督的人，是蒙神喜悦的，也是受人赞许的。这样看来，我们要追求和睦的事和彼此造就的事。不要因食物的缘故破坏神的工作。一切固然都是洁净的，但如果有人因吃东西使人绊脚，这就是恶事了。不在吃肉、喝酒、或其他事上使你的弟兄绊倒，这才是好的。你所持有的信念，自己要在神面前持有；在自己认为对的事上不自责的人是蒙福的。但那疑惑的人如果吃了，就被定罪了，因为不是本于信；而一切不是本于信的，就是罪。
