所以，我们不可再互相论断，要留心自己的言行，不要绊倒弟兄姊妹。我知道并靠着主耶稣深信，没有什么是不洁净的，但若有人以为某物不洁净，那物对他来说就不洁净。如果你吃的东西令弟兄姊妹不安，你就不是凭爱心行事。你不可因为一点食物而损害基督舍命救赎的人。所以，不要让你们认为好的事被别人诟病。因为上帝的国不是关乎吃什么喝什么，而是关乎公义、平安和圣灵所赐的喜乐。以这样的态度事奉基督的人才会得到上帝的喜悦和大家的称赞。所以，我们要努力追求和睦，彼此造就。不可因食物的问题而破坏上帝的工作。所有的食物固然都是洁净的，但人若因所吃的食物绊倒别人，就有罪了。无论是吃肉、喝酒还是做任何别的事，如果会绊倒别人，就应该一概不做。你有信心认为可以做的，只要你和上帝知道就可以了。人如果在自己认为可以做的事上问心无愧，就有福了。人如果心里疑惑，却仍然吃，就有罪了，因为他不是凭信心吃。凡不凭信心去做的，就是犯罪。
