I am the Lord, who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.

“我是你的上帝耶和华，曾把你领出埃及，使你不再受奴役。

我是你们的上帝耶和华。你们要分别出来做圣洁的人，因为我是圣洁的。你们不可让地上的爬虫玷污自己。

我要接纳你们做我的子民，我要做你们的上帝。这样，你们就知道我是你们的上帝耶和华，曾救你们脱离埃及人的辖制。

因为上帝呼召我们不是要我们沾染污秽，而是要我们圣洁。

因为圣经上说：“你们要圣洁，因为我是圣洁的。”

祂带领自己的子民欢然离去，祂所拣选的百姓欢唱着前行。祂把列国的土地赐给他们，使他们获得别人的劳动成果。祂这样做是要使他们持守祂的命令，遵行祂的律法。你们要赞美耶和华！

我是你们的上帝耶和华。我曾经带领你们离开埃及，为要把迦南赐给你们，并做你们的上帝。

耶和华说：“以色列年幼时，我就爱他，视他为儿子，把他从埃及召出来。
