“ Say to the Israelites:‘ Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat:

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ Many animals live on land. Here are the only ones you can eat.

“ Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel.“ Of all the land animals, these are the ones you may use for food.

“ Tell the Israelites: You may eat all these kinds of land animals.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ These are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth:

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the living things which ye may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

“ Tell the Israelites: You may eat all these kinds of land animals.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These[ are] the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that[ are] on the earth.

“ Tell the Israelites:‘ This is the kind of creature you may eat from among all the animals that are on the land.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

It is not what enters the mouth that defiles the person, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles the person.”

since they relate only to food, drink, and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation.

and they shall be detestable to you; you may not eat any of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.

‘ Moreover, these you shall detest among the birds; they are detestable, not to be eaten: the eagle, the vulture, and the buzzard,

‘ Now every swarming thing that swarms on the earth is detestable, not to be eaten.Whatever crawls on its belly, and whatever walks on all fours, whatever has many feet, in regard to every swarming thing that swarms on the earth, you shall not eat them, because they are detestable.Do not make yourselves detestable through any of the swarming things that swarm; and you shall not make yourselves unclean with them so that you become unclean.For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, because I am holy. And you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth.

and on it were all kinds of four footed animals and crawling creatures of the earth and birds of the sky.A voice came to him,“ Get up, Peter, kill and eat!”But Peter said,“ By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean.”

I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to the one who thinks something is unclean, to that person it is unclean.For if because of food your brother or sister is hurt, you are no longer walking in accordance with love. Do not destroy with your choice of food that person for whom Christ died.

But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king’s choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself.

Any of the food which may be eaten, on which water comes, shall become unclean, and any liquid which may be drunk in every vessel shall become unclean.

‘ Now these are to you the unclean among the swarming things which swarm on the earth: the mole, the mouse, and the great lizard in its kinds,

‘ These you may eat, of whatever is in the water: everything that has fins and scales, in the water, in the seas, or in the rivers, you may eat.

“ You shall not eat any detestable thing.These are the animals that you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the mountain sheep.And any animal that has a divided hoof and has its hoofs split in two, and chews the cud, among the animals, that animal you may eat.However, you are not to eat these among the ones that chew the cud, or among those that have the hoof divided in two: the camel, the rabbit, and the rock hyrax, for though they chew the cud, they do not have a divided hoof; they are unclean to you.And the pig, because it has a divided hoof but does not chew the cud, it is unclean for you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, nor touch their carcasses.“ These you may eat of everything that is in the water: anything that has fins and scales you may eat,but anything that does not have fins and scales, you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.“ You may eat any clean bird.But these are the ones that you shall not eat: the eagle and the vulture and the buzzard,and the red kite, the falcon, and the kite in their kinds,and every raven in its kind,and the ostrich, the owl, the seagull, and the hawk in their kinds,the little owl, the great owl, the white owl,the pelican, the carrion vulture, the cormorant,the stork, and the heron in their kinds, and the hoopoe and the bat.And all the swarming insects with wings are unclean to you; they shall not be eaten.You may eat any clean bird.“ You shall not eat anything which dies of itself. You may give it to the stranger who is in your town, so that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a stranger; for you are a holy people to the Lord your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

Yet these you may eat among all the winged insects that walk on all fours: those which have jointed legs above their feet with which to jump on the earth.

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.In pointing out these things to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the good doctrine which you have been following.

Nevertheless, you are not to eat of these, among those which chew the cud, or among those which have a divided hoof: the camel, for though it chews cud, it does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean to you.

there is nothing outside the person which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which come out of the person are what defile the person.”

Do not be misled by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.

‘ Also if one of the animals dies which you have for food, the one who touches its carcass becomes unclean until evening.

But I said,“ Oh, Lord God! Behold, I have never been defiled; for from my youth until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by animals, nor has any unclean meat ever entered my mouth!”

One person has faith that he may eat all things, but the one who is weak eats only vegetables.The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him.
