“ Tell the Israelites: You may eat all these kinds of land animals.

告以色列族云、世之牲畜、有可食者、今詳言之。

爾告以色列人云、地上走獸、爾所可食者、

“ Say to the Israelites:‘ Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat:

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ Many animals live on land. Here are the only ones you can eat.

“ Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel.“ Of all the land animals, these are the ones you may use for food.

“ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying,‘ These are the creatures which you may eat from all the animals that are on the earth.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ These are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth:

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the living things which ye may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

“ Tell the Israelites: You may eat all these kinds of land animals.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These[ are] the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that[ are] on the earth.

“ Tell the Israelites:‘ This is the kind of creature you may eat from among all the animals that are on the land.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

It’s not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth— this defiles a person.”

They are physical regulations and only deal with food, drink, and various washings imposed until the time of the new order.

They are to remain abhorrent to you; you must not eat any of their meat, and you must abhor their carcasses.

“ You are to abhor these birds. They must not be eaten because they are abhorrent: eagles, bearded vultures, Egyptian vultures,

“ All the creatures that swarm on the earth are abhorrent; they must not be eaten.Do not eat any of the creatures that swarm on the earth, anything that moves on its belly or walks on all fours or on many feet, for they are abhorrent.Do not become contaminated by any creature that swarms; do not become unclean or defiled by them.For I am the LORD your God, so you must consecrate yourselves and be holy because I am holy. Do not defile yourselves by any swarming creature that crawls on the ground.

In it were all the four-footed animals and reptiles of the earth, and the birds of the sky.A voice said to him,“ Get up, Peter; kill and eat.”“ No, Lord!” Peter said.“ For I have never eaten anything impure and ritually unclean.”

I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. Still, to someone who considers a thing to be unclean, to that one it is unclean.For if your brother or sister is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy, by what you eat, someone for whom Christ died.

Daniel determined that he would not defile himself with the king’s food or with the wine he drank. So he asked permission from the chief eunuch not to defile himself.

Any edible food coming into contact with that unclean water will become unclean, and any drinkable liquid in any container will become unclean.

“ These creatures that swarm on the ground are unclean for you: weasels, mice, any kind of large lizard,

“ This is what you may eat from all that is in the water: You may eat everything in the water that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or streams.

“ You must not eat any detestable thing.These are the animals you may eat: oxen, sheep, goats,deer, gazelles, roe deer, wild goats, ibexes, antelopes, and mountain sheep.You may eat any animal that has hooves divided in two and chews the cud.But among the ones that chew the cud or have divided hooves, you are not to eat these: camels, hares, and hyraxes, though they chew the cud, they do not have hooves— they are unclean for you;and pigs, though they have hooves, they do not chew the cud— they are unclean for you. Do not eat their meat or touch their carcasses.“ You may eat everything from the water that has fins and scales,but you may not eat anything that does not have fins and scales— it is unclean for you.“ You may eat every clean bird,but these are the ones you may not eat: eagles, bearded vultures, black vultures,the kites, any kind of falcon,every kind of raven,ostriches, short-eared owls, gulls, any kind of hawk,little owls, long-eared owls, barn owls,eagle owls, ospreys, cormorants,storks, any kind of heron, hoopoes, and bats.All winged insects are unclean for you; they may not be eaten.But you may eat every clean flying creature.“ You are not to eat any carcass; you may give it to a resident alien within your city gates, and he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God. Do not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

But you may eat these kinds of all the winged insects that walk on all fours: those that have jointed legs above their feet for hopping on the ground.

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,since it is sanctified by the word of God and by prayer.If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed.

But among the ones that chew the cud or have divided hooves you are not to eat these: camels, though they chew the cud, do not have divided hooves— they are unclean for you;

Nothing that goes into a person from outside can defile him but the things that come out of a person are what defile him.”

Don’t be led astray by various kinds of strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established by grace and not by food regulations, since those who observe them have not benefited.

“ If one of the animals that you use for food dies, anyone who touches its carcass will be unclean until evening.

But I said,“ Oh, Lord GOD, I have never been defiled. From my youth until now I have not eaten anything that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts. And impure meat has never entered my mouth.”

One person believes he may eat anything, while one who is weak eats only vegetables.One who eats must not look down on one who does not eat, and one who does not eat must not judge one who does, because God has accepted him.
