他們的喉嚨是敞開的墓；他們用舌頭弄欺詐；他們嘴脣下有虺蛇之毒氣；他們的口滿了咒罵和苦恨；他們的腳飛快、要流人的血；他們所經過的路、都使人受殘害和災難；平安的路、他們不知道；

他們怎樣在認識上帝選擇了「無上帝」，上帝就怎樣把他們放給不上選的心思，去行不該行的事；充滿着各樣的不義、邪惡、貪婪、惡毒；滿有嫉妒、兇殺、爭競、詭詐、惡意；作打耳喳的、譭謗的、憎惡上帝的、損害人的、狂傲的、矜誇的、揑造惡事的、悖逆父母的；良知蒙昧的、不守約的、無親情的、不憐恤人的。他們雖然明知上帝的規條是：行這樣事的人合該死，卻不但自己去作、連這樣行的人、他們還贊同他們。

口吹號角哦！敵人如鷹來攻打永恆主的家了；因為這人民越犯了我的約，違背了我的律法。

不可喫的有以下這一類：如兀鷹、狗頭鵰、紅頭鵰、鳶、隼、鳶屬鳥、這一類；一切烏鴉、這一類；鴕鳥、夜鷹、魚鷹、雀鷹、這一類；鴟鴞、貓頭鷹、角鴟、叫梟、禿鵰、鸕鶿、鸛、鷺鷥這一類；戴勝與蝙蝠。凡有翅膀的滋生蟲、對於你們都不潔淨，都喫不得。凡有翅膀而潔淨的、你們都可以喫。

他們的馬比豹還快，比晚上的豺狼還猛；他們的馬騰躍着飛跑，從遠方而來，飛臨如鷹，急着要喫。

兀鷹上騰，在高處搭窩，是聽你的吩咐麼？牠居住、牠棲宿、在山巖中，在碞石牙峰、鞏固之處；從那裏牠窺察着食物，極目睽望着。牠的幼雛也咂血；被刺死的人在哪裏，牠就在哪裏。』

『礦苗的路、鷙鳥不知道，隼的眼不曾瞥見過；

看吧，仇敵必如雲上來，他的戰車如旋風，他的馬比鷹還快：我們有禍了！我們敗亡啦！

因為我們從前也是無知、悖逆、受了迷惑，做各種私慾和宴樂的奴僕，在惡毒和嫉妒中度生活，滿有恨心，彼此相恨。

「屍體在哪裏，兀鷹也必聚在哪裏。」

因為永恆主這麼說：『看吧，必有一人像鷹展開翅膀疾飛猛攫摩押。

烏鴉之雛因無食物走來走去、向上帝呼救時、誰為牠豫備糧食呢？

『因為我的人民愚妄，連我、他們也不認識；愚頑的兒女啊、他們！無知啊、他們！他們有智巧去作壞事，要怎樣行善、卻不曉得。』

追趕我們的比空中的鷹還快；他們在山上把我們追得火急，在曠野埋伏等着我們。
