Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair become unkempt and do not tear your clothes, or you will die and the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But your relatives, all the Israelites, may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed by fire.

Moses spoke to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar. They were Aaron’s sons. Moses said,“ Don’t let your hair hang loose. Don’t tear your clothes. If you do, you will die. And the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But all the Israelites are allowed to show they are sad. They are your relatives. They may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed with fire.

And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his sons,“ Do not let the hair of your heads hang loose, and do not tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning that the Lord has kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not show grief by leaving your hair uncombed or by tearing your clothes. If you do, you will die, and the Lord’s anger will strike the whole community of Israel. However, the rest of the Israelites, your relatives, may mourn because of the Lord’s fiery destruction of Nadab and Abihu.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your clothes, or else you will die, and the LORD will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may weep over the fire that the LORD caused.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, so that you do not die and He does not become wrathful against all the congregation. But your kinsmen, the entire house of Israel, shall weep for the burning which the Lord has brought about.

And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Let not the hair of your heads go loose, neither rend your clothes; that ye die not, and that he be not wroth with all the congregation: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Jehovah hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your garments, or else you will die, and the Lord will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may mourn over that tragedy when the Lord sent the fire.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his other two sons,“ Do not dishevel the hair of your heads and do not tear your garments, so that you do not die and so that wrath does not come on the whole congregation. Your brothers, all the house of Israel, are to mourn the burning which the LORD has caused,

Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons,“ Don’t let the hair of your heads go loose, and don’t tear your clothes, so that you don’t die, and so that he will not be angry with all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Yahweh has kindled.

以色列人在当灭的物上犯了罪；因为犹大支派中，谢拉的曾孙，撒底的孙子，迦米的儿子亚干取了当灭的物；耶和华的怒气就向以色列人发作。

摩西、亚伦就俯伏在地，说：“神，万人之灵的神啊，一人犯罪，你就要向全会众发怒吗？”

你们今日竟转去不跟从耶和华吗？你们今日既悖逆耶和华，明日他必向以色列全会众发怒。

“身上有长大麻风灾病的，他的衣服要撕裂，也要蓬头散发，蒙着上唇，喊叫说：‘不洁净了！不洁净了！’

从前谢拉的曾孙亚干岂不是在那当灭的物上犯了罪，就有忿怒临到以色列全会众吗？那人在所犯的罪中不独一人死亡。”

耶和华又向以色列人发怒，就激动大卫，使他吩咐人去数点以色列人和犹大人。

你们要看守圣所和坛，免得忿怒再临到以色列人。

但利未人要在法柜帐幕的四围安营，免得忿怒临到以色列会众；利未人并要谨守法柜的帐幕。”

在他离俗归耶和华的一切日子，不可挨近死尸。他的父母或是弟兄姐妹死了的时候，他不可因他们使自己不洁净，因为那离俗归神的凭据是在他头上。

“人子啊，我要将你眼目所喜爱的忽然取去，你却不可悲哀哭泣，也不可流泪，只可叹息，不可出声，不可办理丧事；头上仍勒裹头巾，脚上仍穿鞋，不可蒙着嘴唇，也不可吃吊丧的食物。”

他论自己的父母说：我未曾看见；他也不承认弟兄，也不认识自己的儿女。这是因利未人遵行你的话，谨守你的约。

犹大啊，要为你所喜爱的儿女剪除你的头发，使头光秃，要大大地光秃，如同秃鹰，因为他们都被掳去离开你。

祭司要叫那妇人蓬头散发，站在耶和华面前，把思念的素祭，就是疑恨的素祭，放在她手中。祭司手里拿着致咒诅的苦水，

窥探地的人中，嫩的儿子约书亚和耶孚尼的儿子迦勒撕裂衣服，

“耶路撒冷啊，要剪发抛弃，在净光的高处举哀；因为耶和华丢掉离弃了惹他忿怒的世代。”

于是，耶和华降瘟疫与以色列人，自早晨到所定的时候；从但直到别是巴，民间死了七万人。天使向耶路撒冷伸手要灭城的时候，耶和华后悔，就不降这灾了，吩咐灭民的天使说：“够了！住手吧！”那时耶和华的使者在耶布斯人亚劳拿的禾场那里。大卫看见灭民的天使，就祷告耶和华说：“我犯了罪，行了恶；但这群羊做了什么呢？愿你的手攻击我和我的父家。”

第二天，以色列全会众都向摩西、亚伦发怨言说：“你们杀了耶和华的百姓了。”会众聚集攻击摩西、亚伦的时候，向会幕观看，不料，有云彩遮盖了，耶和华的荣光显现。摩西、亚伦就来到会幕前。耶和华吩咐摩西说：“你们离开这会众，我好在转眼之间把他们灭绝。”他们二人就俯伏于地。摩西对亚伦说：“拿你的香炉，把坛上的火盛在其中，又加上香，快快带到会众那里，为他们赎罪；因为有忿怒从耶和华那里出来，瘟疫已经发作了。”亚伦照着摩西所说的拿来，跑到会中，不料，瘟疫在百姓中已经发作了。他就加上香，为百姓赎罪。

耶和华对摩西说：“你告诉以色列人说：‘耶和华说：你们是硬着颈项的百姓，我若一霎时临到你们中间，必灭绝你们。现在你们要把身上的妆饰摘下来，使我可以知道怎样待你们。’”

耶和华对摩西说：“你告诉亚伦子孙作祭司的说：祭司不可为民中的死人沾染自己，除非为他骨肉之亲的父母、儿女、弟兄，和未曾出嫁、作处女的姐妹，才可以沾染自己。祭司既在民中为首，就不可从俗沾染自己。不可使头光秃；不可剃除胡须的周围，也不可用刀划身。要归神为圣，不可亵渎神的名；因为耶和华的火祭，就是神的食物，是他们献的，所以他们要成为圣。不可娶妓女或被污的女人为妻，也不可娶被休的妇人为妻，因为祭司是归神为圣。所以你要使他成圣，因为他奉献你神的食物；你要以他为圣，因为我使你们成圣的耶和华是圣的。祭司的女儿若行淫辱没自己，就辱没了父亲，必用火将她焚烧。“在弟兄中作大祭司、头上倒了膏油、又承接圣职、穿了圣衣的，不可蓬头散发，也不可撕裂衣服。不可挨近死尸，也不可为父母沾染自己。不可出圣所，也不可亵渎神的圣所，因为神膏油的冠冕在他头上。我是耶和华。他要娶处女为妻。寡妇或是被休的妇人，或是被污为妓的女人，都不可娶；只可娶本民中的处女为妻。不可在民中辱没他的儿女，因为我是叫他成圣的耶和华。”

以色列人犯了罪，违背了我所吩咐他们的约，取了当灭的物；又偷窃，又行诡诈，又把那当灭的放在他们的家具里。
