Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair become unkempt and do not tear your clothes, or you will die and the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But your relatives, all the Israelites, may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed by fire.

Moses spoke to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar. They were Aaron’s sons. Moses said,“ Don’t let your hair hang loose. Don’t tear your clothes. If you do, you will die. And the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But all the Israelites are allowed to show they are sad. They are your relatives. They may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed with fire.

And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his sons,“ Do not let the hair of your heads hang loose, and do not tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning that the Lord has kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not show grief by leaving your hair uncombed or by tearing your clothes. If you do, you will die, and the Lord’s anger will strike the whole community of Israel. However, the rest of the Israelites, your relatives, may mourn because of the Lord’s fiery destruction of Nadab and Abihu.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your clothes, or else you will die, and the LORD will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may weep over the fire that the LORD caused.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, so that you do not die and He does not become wrathful against all the congregation. But your kinsmen, the entire house of Israel, shall weep for the burning which the Lord has brought about.

And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Let not the hair of your heads go loose, neither rend your clothes; that ye die not, and that he be not wroth with all the congregation: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Jehovah hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your garments, or else you will die, and the Lord will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may mourn over that tragedy when the Lord sent the fire.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his other two sons,“ Do not dishevel the hair of your heads and do not tear your garments, so that you do not die and so that wrath does not come on the whole congregation. Your brothers, all the house of Israel, are to mourn the burning which the LORD has caused,

“患麻风病的人必须撕裂衣服，披头散发，遮住脸的下半部，高喊‘不洁净！不洁净！’

从前谢拉的曾孙亚干私自留下那些耶和华吩咐要毁灭的东西，以致耶和华的烈怒临到以色列全体会众，因他的罪而死的不只他一个人！”

耶和华又向以色列人发怒，祂促使大卫来对付他们，让大卫统计以色列和犹大的人口。

你们要看守圣所和祭坛，以免我的愤怒再临到以色列人。

但利未人要在放约柜的圣幕四周扎营，防止以色列人触怒耶和华。利未人负责看守圣幕。”

在献给耶和华期间，不可挨近死尸，即使父母或是兄弟姊妹死了，也不可挨近，以免沾染不洁，因为他头上有将自己奉献给上帝的记号。

“人子啊，我要突然夺去你心爱的人，你不可悲伤，也不可流泪哭泣。你要默然哀叹，不可为死人办丧事，仍要缠着头巾，穿着鞋，不可蒙着脸，也不可吃丧家吃的饭。”

为了听从你的话，遵守你的约，他们不畏冒犯父母，舍弃弟兄，抛下儿女。

犹大人啊，你们要剃光头发，为你们所爱的儿女悲伤；要剃得如秃鹰一样光秃，因为他们要被掳到远方。

然后让那妇人站在耶和华面前，解开她的头发，把那素祭放在她手里。祭司要拿着带给罪人咒诅的苦水，

打探迦南的人中，嫩的儿子约书亚和耶孚尼的儿子迦勒撕裂衣服，

“‘你们要剪掉头发，在光秃的山上哀哭，因为耶和华已弃绝这惹祂发怒的百姓。’”

于是，那天早晨，耶和华在以色列降下瘟疫，瘟疫持续了三天，从但到别示巴共有七万人死亡。当天使准备伸手毁灭耶路撒冷的时候，耶和华心生怜悯，就对灭命天使说：“够了，住手吧！”当时，耶和华的天使正站在耶布斯人亚劳拿的麦场上。大卫看见灭命天使，就对耶和华说：“是我犯了罪，做了恶事，这些百姓有什么过错呢？愿你的手惩罚我和我的家族。”

第二天，以色列全体会众都埋怨摩西和亚伦说：“你们害死了耶和华的子民。”会众聚集起来反对摩西和亚伦，他们向会幕观看，忽然有云彩遮盖了会幕，耶和华的荣光显现了。摩西和亚伦来到会幕前，耶和华对摩西说：“你们离开这些会众，我好在顷刻之间消灭他们。”他们二人就俯伏在地。摩西对亚伦说：“取香炉来，里面放些坛上的火，添上香，赶快带到会众那里为他们赎罪，因为耶和华发怒了，瘟疫已经开始。”亚伦就照着摩西的吩咐取来香炉，跑到会众当中。那时瘟疫已经在人群中蔓延起来。他就在炉中放上香为民众赎罪。

耶和华对摩西说：“你去向以色列百姓宣布，‘你们这些顽固不化的人，我就是跟你们在一起待一刻，都恐怕会灭绝你们。现在你们要摘下自己身上的饰物，我再决定怎样处置你们。’”

耶和华对摩西说：“你把以下条例告诉祭司——亚伦的子孙。“祭司不可因接触死去的族人而使自己不洁净，但骨肉至亲，如父母、儿女、兄弟、以及未出嫁仍是处女的姊妹例外。祭司不可因姻亲的关系而玷污自己。祭司不可剃光头、修剪胡须或割伤身体。他们要做上帝的圣洁之民，不可亵渎我的名。因为他们负责献我的火祭，即我的食物，所以要保持圣洁。他们不可娶妓女或被休的女人为妻，因为祭司要为了我而保持圣洁。要视祭司为圣洁的，因为他们负责献你们上帝的食物。要视他们为圣洁的，因为使你们圣洁的我——耶和华是圣洁的。如果有祭司的女儿做妓女，辱没自己，她就是辱没自己的父亲，必须烧死她。“大祭司在众祭司中职分最高，头上浇过膏油，已经承受圣职、穿上圣衣，他不可披头散发、撕裂衣服。他不可接近死者，即使是父母也不可，以免玷污自己。他不可因丧事走出他上帝的圣所，以免亵渎圣所，因为我的膏油已经使他圣洁。我是耶和华。他必须娶处女为妻，不可娶寡妇、被休的女人或妓女，只可娶本族中的处女为妻，以免在民中玷污自己的子孙，因为我是使他们圣洁的耶和华。”

以色列人犯了罪，违背了我吩咐他们应守的约，偷拿了本该毁灭的东西放在自己的行囊里，还撒谎。
